I'm very impressed by Mike Levy and his ability to articulate his thoughts into easy to understand instruction. He's clear and concise in his teaching, and it really shows in Cam and Izzy's performance here. Granted, a teacher cannot be truly effective without attentive and willing students, and credit goes to Cam and Izzy as well. I really enjoyed this video, fellas! You're awesome as Hell!

mad respect to Israel for running the drop holster in 2022 without even flinching
@Valorum_2 жыл бұрын
Can we just take a minute to acknowledge of damn quick Cam is at drawing his weapon. I know it has a lot to do with him currently in the national guard so a lot of the mechanics are fresher in his mind, but holy hell. This isn't a knock on Izzy, either. He's pretty quick as well and, most likely, if it were an actual dangerous situation he'd probably be quicker because, you know, adrenaline.
@chuckgreen36292 жыл бұрын
Army and NG almost exclusively use long guns. You'd have to have specific training for pistols. Like going from auto to manual in a car, but pistol to rifle is like manual to auto. Adrenaline messes people up too, that's why they drill.
@pounc3r7822 жыл бұрын
Cam is from a "newer generation" of Rangers (who have been the premier direct action guys in the most recent conflicts), Izzy is from slightly before Cam's generation, and in SF (which is traditionally more about FID, guerilla warfare and not direct action). Also as experience is gained and training gets improved, it's not unfair to say that Cam had better weapon training in the 75th. Just one likely factor from my perspective.

Actually even a lot of well-known firearms instructors with years of SOF experience such as Mike Glover, Pat Mcnamara, and Tu Lam would openly admit of learning something new all the time. It is no different from the MMA world, where fighters always seek to learn a new martial arts style/form from the bottom.

I mean to be fair only a small percentage of the military actually trains with pistols compared to how much training is done with rifles

@@macalatus You kind of get used to learning constantly in their world. Very little remains the same as war evolves and SOP's evolve with it. You have to have a healthy respect for subject matter authorities whoever they are. @@rangergreen1776 cuz back in the early gwot days everyone used drop leg holsters and it was issued to them then so he's used to the drop leg
@Chris099782 жыл бұрын
@@rangergreen1776 well considering his time when he was in the dropcleg holster was popular at the time because they though that when your rifle goes dry and your hand naturally comes down close to your thigh and be faster and more on target and that wasn’t the case because the minute your rifle goes dry you support hand is near your abdomen area and your pew pew hand is near your hip so that’s why Cameron’s set up is more what you will see compared to Israel. I give credit though to Israel even though that holster is obsolete but he’s still very fluid with it and able to keep the pace I’m impressed with his performance with him rocking that drop leg holster and how he was around the same speed as Cameron. Israel really wasn’t joking when he said that all he did was train even though there was nothing to do.
