I have bought many knives from you guys and I love you guys!!! I just switched for the most part from flippers and tactical knives to traditional folders. In fact I just bought a bunch of Case knives from you all. Till this moment I did not even know that SMKW owns Rough Ryder knives!! And now this!!! Very cool and I’m very excited!!! I've pretty much mirrored what you've done. I've gotten kind of bored with all my flippers and started buying traditional knives. Case has really let me down with what they consider to be good quality knives to send out. Bent blades, wobbly blades, huge gaps, blades that rub on each other or the liners, horribly uneven bevels, blades so dull you couldn't cut your way out of a paper bag, and full of dirt. I'm done with Case at the moment. I did get a Boker Barlow made in Germany and that little knife is perfect, same with my Lionsteel CK edition Barlow. I've now ordered a bunch of Rough Ryders and plan on getting some of their reserve knives, once they come out with some more traditional blade shapes.

Great looking knives. The price seems competitive for D2 and micarta. The fit and finish look on par with highly respected traditional companies that would charge more - now y’all need to make a RRR for those of us that like small knives like a small canoe or small Texas toothpick.

@ 8:23 into the video...see that glint on the edge of the knife? That's from the blade smacking the pin inside the knife when it closes. So much for fit and finish.

The Marbles D2 uses micarta also, and isn't 10 to 30 dollars more than the regular models. So, it isn't just materials costs for the extra price. Still good, but getting beyond the price/value ratio in my opinion.

Great idea. The kick wasn't adjusted correctly on the one handed razor you showed. (Too low) You have a blade dent caused by the blade hitting the center pin raised up area. All the designs look good. The swell center whittler is fantastic. I love that thick main blade. The packaging is nice.

Patterns that have not been seen in Years...Interesting and Commendable, I could think of a Pattern that has not been been seen unless it is the Secondary Market...The Remington Master Camper..There is a Pattern that would be a Perfect Fit...One could be made with Premium Quality that the Reserve Brand is Offering and a Second in the Regular Rough Ryder Brand as well..Im Hoping Folks read this and share a Desire for the Master Camper and Possibly the Remington Trailhand Camp Knife as well

Saw the new knives at SMKW, nice looking knives, they better be something special to justify the price though. $40, $50 and $60 for a Rough Ryder quite a shock.

More expensive than every civivi that isn’t in Damascus. And this is up there in price. They used to be a value, and even then, it was for a knife with no bearings or takedown screws. For a knife that I can’t tune or clean that’s a lot. That’s like putting the price of motorcycle at the same price as a small car when the motorcycle used to be a value.

They switched factories, though. They are made by entirely different people, at the same place as the a.g. russell chinese knives is my understanding. Also the steel on the other ones are probably chinese 420-j steel, or chinese 440a (the cheapest cutlery steels that exist), these ones aren't. You get the idea, there's no way it could cost the same as the other ones, that being said I'm not a big proponent of these knives, I primarily collect GEC. Just providing a bit of an explanation as to why they cost what they cost.

Yes all new super dupper materials, new factory probably owned by the same company. The whole point in a rough ryder is a decent knife for a bargain price, that you can carry and use with out having to worry about it, if I was going to spend this I'd buy a case.

I laughed out loud when I heard the price of that Easy Open Razor. Literally any other company that made a knife that beautiful and flawlessly put together would charge $200 minimum. Iv been a knife fan for a long time but iv recently started getting into traditionals especially modern traditionals like the lion steels and benchmades but dont want to spend the money for them quite yet cause I dont use them like my modern knives so its nice to see a great quality product with modern materials for such a great price. I'm hoping to see more single bladed models to come cause I just dont need that many blades since they are usually a back up knife or pocket candy for me. Great looking knives. I am collecting them all. Have 2 whittlers as I carry one at the office. These knives are ridiculously inexpensive for the craftsmanship and materials. Your profit margins must be razor thin. I have a huge knife collection with a ton of GECs, but the RRR003 whittler is my favorite out of all my traditional pattern knives. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻🇨🇦

Like many, the RRR 001 has blade slap making a flat spot on the cutting edge !/2 to 1 inch from the tip of the blade. Why don't they prevent that?

Don’t care for the reverse Tanto blades on the Kayak at all . Just me but I don’t think those belong on a traditional slippie at all . It just loses appeal to me and would be better served with a spear point and pen blade . Kinda wide too with excessive space between the two blades .
