I want Buckshot in more patterns. I have the whole series but I want a large toothpick, sod buster, muskrat, copperhead and sow belly. I wish other companies would adopt it too. This is what got me collecting Rough Ryders.

What's wild, Rich is that you asked the same day I had already pulled it. Great minds.

I hate RR knives...because they’re addicting to collect. They’re an awesome value and really awesome quality for the price. I can’t stop buying them.

Chaps - I bought a Buckshot Bone Teardrop Jack a month ago. I still can't believe how good it is. £20 here in the UK but this would be good at three times that. Very well done!

Thanks for showing the buckshot bone. I'd love to see it in a single blade sow belly. But that tear drop is my favorite.

Great Show Guys, Love the RR brand! My Case Trapper CV is dark like the Bow Trapper, just from everyday kitchen type use, peel'n ext. Love the look!

Did a forced patina on a Mora carbon. Apple cider vinegar, b.oiled and put the blade in and let stand overnight. Great flat blackish grayish color but evenly colored blade. Have an 01 toolsteel blade getting a natural brownish bluish color.

Could you do some of the modern folders from rough Ryder? I’ve got a few traditional patterns but I’d like to see some modern as well (particularly the thunder streak). Love you guys! Had to leave a comment!

Question: why is the nail Nick on the blade called match strike and serrated that way? Is there an extra function?
@SMKWcom
@SMKWcom 6 жыл бұрын
Historically speaking, before lighters were prevalent and when matches were "strike anywhere" - you could strike a match more easily on the pull. Hence the term, "Match Strike Pull"

thanks! I think I have some strike anywhere matches (new formulation not that good) that I'll have to try!

The classic carbon knives seem to have mostly sold out by this point, I would definitely buy 3 or 4 whittlers if you made more. Also your website is really slow and a little bit glitchy I tolerate it, but it took me over 2 hours to finish an order because I was waiting for the website to respond.

I do like the glow knife. They'd be great fishing and camping! Perhaps you could add the five inch fish knife and the scout knife to the glow knife line, you know for people fishing and camping! I prefer the Buckshot over the Bone Stag but then I also like that bone stag does NOT have a blade etch. I've got a few of the old Colt Buckshots. Truly a great series. I'll have to check out the black cherry in person. On the good side its not Red Jigged Bone! I do like that liner under the cherry bone! Pretty Cool. And broken canoe is also pretty cool! And you already know how much I love the Backwoods Bushcrafter Series. But I keep that copper bright. Such a great contrast! And the Classic Carbon is phenomenal! I'll try and get a few patina shots up for you! (Some how that sounds a little indecent!) I'll need to do an Top Rough Ryder in the near future. As always, great show guys. Thanks for sharing! Now about the Scout knives...

I love rough Ryder knives. I bought a case and let me tell you is was horrible. Blade profiles needed fixed, fit and finish was horrible, rough Ryder beats them hands down. I own 22 rough Ryder's and one case and I will never buy another case .
