Special Books by Special Kids seeks to expand society's definition of normal by spreading empathy, understanding and acceptance for neurodiverse individuals. What started as an idea for a book series became a multi-media movement when special education teacher Chris Ulmer began sharing stories from his classroom. Now "Mr. Chris" shares how it all started, a few of the touching stories behind his many interactions, and what each of us can do to celebrate the neurodiversity all around us.

It’s google being lazy and not making/implementing a way to combat the trolls. We can land on the moon and back but we can’t stop a few hundred trolls in a comment section. Typical 21st century BULLSHIT, MONEY, MONEY MONEY you’re a joke.

@@void9938 So because a group of trolls have a attitude and this is not just a channel about children. Half of it is adults..... But anyway because Utube is a lazy group of idiots who would rather shut down comment sections rather then actually investigate or deal with these pedos. They do this instead. How the heck is this protecting anyone. Especially children. The pedos are still around. A site that promotes understanding and a opportunity for people with differences to have a voice is a good thing. How the heck is removing the comments a safety thing. What next. Should be start to put bags over peoples heads to protect them also.

As a former (male) primary school teacher, I can say that Chris Ulmer has a natural talent , and most importantly, the temperament for this vocation. I recently watched a video where he related how he came to find his calling. It is a series of life experiences and happy accidents that has allowed him to reach so many people in such a socially underserved community. He is a young man and the dialogue he has opened up with and within the special needs (no one term is really suitable) community has only started.

Because KZbin and society is retarded, you can have 99% good, but since their is 1% of trolls, they decide to shut down his comments because of "predation." But in real life, in schools especially, 99% of their experience is negative/uncomfortable and 1% is good, and they do nothing for them to help them in the school system to make them feel more at home or build up their confidence with their peers. It's so fucking backwards where our society decides to help, turning off his comment section was a poor decision of protection. There is actions you can do to ban certain words or certain sentences in every comment section that would prevent most trolls from commenting. For instance you can banish the word "stupid" and "retard" and once you put that word in your comment, it won't go through or will be censored. They should've taken that action first before shutting down his comments, so I gladly say, fuck KZbin sometimes. Oh you should ban my comment KZbin, I'm performing an act of predation to your esteem right now, jerk offs.

Fazbear Security The problem *is not* that there are no enough people like Chris, but rather that, as Chris himself pointed out in this presentation - *there is NO MARKET for this kind of things* (just as there is *no market* for solving homelessness problem, for solving the problem of tens of millions humans dying every year from starvation, of tens of millions humans in Africa of AIDS when *we do have* the necessary medicines to treat them, and so on and so forth, examples of human needs that *can* be solved, *but are not, only because* they say to us "there is no market for that", are numerous...) While, *in reality,* we can/could solve these human problems (and we could do much, much more than that), and it would be quite easy to do too, *once* we stop accepting this system's objective being THE MAKING OF MONEY, *instead of its objective being THE FULFILMENT OF HUMAN NEEDS.* Remember this - *It NEEDS NOT to be like it is right now.* If you (or anybody who reads it) are interested *why* I think so, just tell me - I will be more than content to reply to you with the references to the information/concepts in hand. (no advertisement, selling of products or anything of the sort, promise) Be well. Kind regards.

It is a shame they took away the comment sections from his interviews. It doesn't protect the people being interviewed. It eliminates our opportunity to communicate with them, and makes a similar kind of wall between them and us as the one, existing in our real world . His work is incredibly important, as there will be more and more kids with special needs. Why I pesonally think it is important, because any of these kids could easily be my child. It is just a matter of luck, we just don't want to admit it. Life doesn't always play out the way we hope it would. Since I started watching Chris' amazing videos, my approach to this whole topic has changed a lot. I only have one daughter, who was born without any problems and doesn't have any special needs, but I want her to meet other kids, who weren't so lucky, but are just as loveable and interesting as she is. I highly respect Chris and all these admirable kids, people and parents. Chris is probably one of the greatest human beings in our generation.. such a great person! I only discovered him today.. but im already a fan! Also parts of his presentation here made me tear up a bit (and that doesn't happen usually). I really hope SBSK gets more recognision by more people!
