Major John H. Tashjian, a World War II Marine Fighter pilot gets a very special flight in the Corsair he flew when he was 23 years old during combat for his 100th birthday on July 10, 2021. Michele Spry of Columbia, Missouri made a very special discovery after finding information in his flight log book that led her to this plane. The F4U-1A Corsair #17799 is owned by Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, CA and is the oldest airworthy Corsair.
