I thought I was the only railfanner that was also a musician. The first train horn which was a late K5HL actually also plays the high C.

Dear Railfan, thank you for your nice message and information! I was really surprised too, when I learnt that in USA, some people tried to save the heritage of old train horns. In France, that enterprise doesn't exist at all (there's only one horn/one sound since the end of steam trains).

Thank you! It's a concept mixing my 2 passions : music and road trips, and there is another video about music roads in Japan. A 3rd project is in the box, but it's really long to produce... compared to my usual pianos tutos you will find on my channel 🙂

It would be super awesome to see a full 88-key keyboard attached to train horns installed in a train.

I should do this in a next video, thank you for the idea 😆

I wanna put train horns on a car but tune the notes to a perfect major chord lmao that would be hilarious to hear in traffic

Sure! And some YT videos show guys who make jokes to their friends using a super train horn on their little car, so funny :-))

I want to hear train horns play some epic jazz chord progressions now

Great idea ! In the 80's, there was a Mazda ad whose music was only played by Mazda car horns. So I think it might be possible! But it needs a good music arranger 🙂

The best horn in my case is the K5LLA, a low and loud horn, with the notes of C-D#-F#-G#-B
@MathieuBaudoux3 жыл бұрын
Wow crazy! I wish I could hear that sounds regularly ; but in France, it's always the same chord :-(
@Andrewtm23 Жыл бұрын
haha, you have a good ear. When you think about it, it makes sense to use a dissonant chord to project a sound of danger :)

Thank you for your message... you're right! See you soon on this channel for new adventures ;-)

a lot of these weren't dissonant though

Ha ha ! Trop marrant.

Thank you for your message and happy you enjoyed my video. If you love this sound, I advise you to listen a song by Matthew Wilder entitled "break my stride". The intro is based on this chord! 😲
