@@jbstepchild it really depends on what caliber rifle but most rifles in use like 5.56, 7.62 nato 7.62 Russian 300 win mag most common calibers used by militaries are all going to be supersonic unless subsonic rounds are used which is uncommon in military or law enforcement applications, 300 blackout being only one that the US military ever played with and only tier 1 units like the naval special warfare development group had some experience using but they largely failed to get any major use. Silencers or suppressors are really only used for some sound reduction and flash reduction, it also makes it much harder to tell where the shot is coming from. It’s not like the movies most suppressed weapons are not quite enough to shoot someone and for no one to hear the shot.

@@ThatMetalheadguy666 sure, by two Australian snipers from 2nd Commando in Afghanistan early 2012, where exactly no idea, they don't give that up easily, both using M82A1's 12.7mm (.50 caliber) rifles. In a coordinated shot at a Taliban leader 2,800 meters away the two snipers fired simultaneously and six seconds later the Taliban chieftain fell dead. It will never be known which of the two shots got him. This is exactly what I mean, nothing absolutely nothing about it, but look up 2800m, M82A1, Afghanistan, Australian Commando and you will find your information.. verifying becomes much harder though

This is my first time hearing this story and maybe its a bit sensationalized and/or im misinterpreting it but; it sounds like these guys were purely there as a support/recon team but disregarded/slightly bent orders and turned themselves into a highly effective long range assault team. I consider myself a really good marksman. I cant even begin to comprehend all the calculations that go into making shots that long. Even something as simple as windage is going to be totally different from not only their perch to the target but also alllll the spaces in between

As a Canadian I'm not sure why we have our tax money sent that far out and in a war that doesn't have anything to do with us. IF and a big IF these are the same guys I'm thinking of, they voiced their opposition against the V during the 2020 event. I'm not sure if they are still in the military or were removed because of not taking the juice. That I am proud of for standing up for their beliefs.

When will the media realize their reporting hurts these kind of missions. As well as police and first responders

Somebody please tell me how, @ 7:10, 4 enemy, NEXTDOOR, are MISSED by neighboring snipers who just successfully took out an enemy @ 3,540 meters?! This makes me believe this entire scenario is nothing less than a complete fabrication!

If it’s all about breaking world records should they not get corporate sponsors or even make it an Olympic Sport . I honestly think this video does a great disservice to the people in uniform who risk their lives in very hostile conditions , it diminishes their professionalism.

Dude admited it was pure random luck vs actual skill. I don't call that a record nor do most snipers. Either round hit exactly where u want/plan or its a miss(even if target is hit)
