I have a relentless respect for people willing to sculpt shortrun kits into shape. Absolutely lovely work Steve.

This is the stage I had been eagerly waiting for. My build stopped two years ago because of trying to find the best way of anchoring the legs in. I love the kit to bits but this was such a poor design . I did think about the pins with a view to a fine adjustment by bending the rod once the leg is inserted but as you rightly pointed out I was not able to find a rod that has both stregth and give.....Ah well I'm just going to have to bite the bullet . Thanks for a very encouraging and motivating build . All the best.

The poor design (a hallmark of this kit unfortunately) of the UC is definitely weak and needs strengthening- the NS rod is up to that job better than brass or copper which are much softer

Lol, I don't know how many times I've sat down thinking, "this will only take a few minutes"......12 hours later..... "Well, I guess I'll finish up tomorrow"... Nice work though, the way they engineered those landing gear, I would have pinned them also. Looking forward to the next update!

Excellent work as ever Steve. I would find it interesting if you gave some idea of the actual elapse time that you spent on each part of a build, both working and waiting. Perhaps just a sentence in the info box?

Nice idea Phil I’ll try to do that 👍

Lovely. How long do you usually spend modeling in a day? I’m lucky if I can fit a couple of hours in a couple of times a week.
@TheModelShed Жыл бұрын
My answer to your question in part 7 refers: • 3 days ago It was a bit I received the 3d yawl on the Wednesday before Telford. I missed finishing the model by a couple of days. I suppose I’d average 4 hours a day and I like the variety I get from having a couple of. different subjects on the bench

I think because your issues with finishing models for Teleford happened, you shoukd do the 1/200 Hornet during the Dolittlr raid. 😬
