Great work as usual, Steve. I do like the 1 Man Army Masks. On a personal note, your video's have become a part of my Friday afternoon routine here in the States, and you were missed over the last few weeks.

The Tempest is looking good. Sorry to hear you weren't able to take the Bismarck to Telford, but there is always next year. From watching the HMS Hood build I know you don't like to rush a build through and prefer making sure the detail is as correct as possible. I look forward to the next installment of the Tempest build.

Hi Steve , I highly rate the 1ManArmy masks , I have used them a few times ( tamiya f35 , tamiya 1/32 mosquito, border models 1/32 Lancaster and Airfix 1/24 Spitfire ) , they are one of the first aftermarket items I search for when thinking about a new kit , I have also found the MRP fine surface primers work really well in conjunction with the masks .

Interesting that you didn't use transfer tape for the stencils Steve. I've seen other demos that have and it seems to complicate correct positioning and takes longer. I'm aiming to use these for my Kotare Spitfire - a simpler method is most welcome.
@TheModelShed Жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil The demo I had at Telford showed that transfer tape isn’t necessary on the smaller stencils - just the larger codes where there are internal shapes and multi layer roundels.

Very nice. Much better than decals ?
@TheModelShed Жыл бұрын
Much better Jerry IMO. Decals take just as long to apply and these eliminate the risk of silvering

Loving those Stencils Steve! I received a free generic sample set from an American hobby company with a recent order I had made. Now I can’t wait to try them after watching your video review of them. Did the Lanc win anything at Telford?
@TheModelShed Жыл бұрын
Yes I think they’re great - look much better than decals

Hi Steve, welcome back... Those masks look great, do they cater for smaller kits? IE 1/48?
@TheModelShed Жыл бұрын
No not yet John but I think they will at some point. it will be testing the limits of the technology though to do 1/48 stencils

I’ve been worried about the Bismarck - was it the missing boat that sidetracked it? Glad you got the Lancaster done, though - you have so many projects going, how long do you typically spend modeling in a day? I’ve got a day job, so it’s as much as I can do to make progress on one model at a time, and they often take months in spite of my distinctly lower detail level, not to mention research.

It was a bit I received the 3d yawl on the Wednesday before Telford. I missed finishing the model by a couple of days. I suppose I’d average 4 hours a day and I like the variety I get from having a couple of. different subjects on the bench
