I remember the old Airfix kit very well... Going by the inserts to the top fuselage, SH have obviously planned for early mark / wartime Sunderland's to come out at a later date. Thanks for the review.

It sure the Mk5 or 4 should be called a Sunderland but a Seaford?

Thanks for a good video, makes me want to build a flying boat myself. I am half way to building Airfix 1/72 Concorde, I.e The Lady of the Sky's. PEACE.

I built the Airfix one last year. Aside from the top fuselage seem it turned out quite good.

The Panel lines are beautiful but the fit is appalling. The one I am building, the fuselage halves are either different or warped. As for the wings I tried to get them to line up using the spars or guides that are on the wings, I eventually cut them off and just glued the Wings to the relevant mould shape on the body. That way I didn't have to fight with the spar. With the piece on the bottom of the hull with the step, it would not align with the warped hull; I made a vertical piece and then cut the step piece in half length wise and fitted it. The interior was nice and went together well. Definitely not for beginners.
