I'm glad to hear you call GBD your friend, because he is the one who told me about your channel. When I first found him he was sitting behind a desk, wearing a tie, and talking about football. I have to admit I did not always agree with what he had to say, but I always respected his opinion. Thelma (my wife) thought he looked just like our grandson, so she gifted him her Tennessee SEC Championship coke and got me to gift him a Georgia National Championship coke. We are going to miss him. I hope his family does not take his channel down so that we all can still check in from time to time. Rest easy Chris, we love you!

I am devastated to hear of his passing. He was a true showman and the embodiment of what college football really is. I watched every video he ever posted. Chris has been in my life every day for the past 3 years. I would listen to his videos every day on the way to work, in my living room and with friends and on my last deployment. I don’t think a single day has gone by in the past year where I haven’t heard his voice. He always put a smile on my face and new perspective in my mind. So sad hearing this news. I found Gold & Blue Dude last summer after the USC/UCLA realignment news. I got to where I was checking KZbin daily for videos. He was entertaining and genuine. It actually upset me when trolls would stereotype him but he always responded with class. I could tell he was passionate about college sports and especially, his Mountaineers. Being a Texas Tech alum, I shared his passion for Big 12 athletics. I pray for God's peace and comfort over his family and thank him for the entertainment his videos provided. He will be missed!

USC fan here. I happened upon your brothers’s channel around the time of conference realignment. I found him tremendously entertaining and insightful. As a college football fan, I found him a kindred spirit, that loved his team. I often tuned into to his channel for the past several years and was never disappointed. I know my words likely don’t provide much consolation. However, I feel the need to express my appreciation for your brothers talent and love for his team. He was truly great and I will miss tuning into his college football insights. The next time I see WVU on TV, I’ll certainly be thinking of him. My condolences. I always thought Gold and Blue Dude was such a great ambassador for West Virginia. Like so many from"The Mountain State" he left for better opportunity ....or at least that is my understanding of his story.
