We are using the complete book of animals for science this year! So far we love it and we are adding books from library about habitats, animals or the country some animals are from and we use those read alouds :)

How old is your special needs son? Mine is 16 and in an early kindergarten level, finally beginning to sound out some cvc words and a handful of words he just knows

I had trouble finding it as well. Ours is independent from the school system, but it still seems a bit secretive. I'm glad you were able to find some good leagues for him
