Newsome and Panera’s relationship needs to be explored. I hope no one wants to work for Panera.

Why not just apply this on all minimum wage, why make so much exemptions so confusing

Because the governor is friends with some of the business owners, that’s why there are exemptions. There was a news article about Newsome and the owner of Panera bread. Panera donated a lot of $ to Newsome, no surprise Panera is exempt.

I grew up in a time when there was no fast food at all. Americans all ages were in great shape. So this is actually a good thing because it's going to close all the fast food restaurants. Back to home cooking and unfortunately all those people knew some said he was going to help he's actually going to put out of work.

I'm confused. How did this franchise owner of hundreds of locations get "blind sided" by this legislation? The regular public knew it was being worked on and was likely to get approved MONTHS before they announced that it would be getting signed. Business owners were informed. They were invited to participate in the sessions where it was discussed. They ignored it so they could play the victim later.

I don’t not believe that he didn’t see this coming. It’s been talked about for years!

Why not make the rich pay their fair share?! Why are CEO's making billions while their employees cannot even make ends meet?
