guns are rare so armed police are called to any scene where the suspect is armed with a knife or a gun. any normal policeman is usually equipped with a taser, which can stop most people with a knife. also the police's job is to solve lesser problems like theft and fights - they dont actively come up against guns

Actually certain regular police officers are trained to and actually carry guns but its rare. They’re called AFO (authorised firearms officer) not the same as a regular officer or SFO (specialist firearms officer) at least black people in our country dont get gunned down for things like speeding or ‘resisting’🙄
