True, but there are different grades and quality of raw materials. For instance, Barbara Sturm uses different molecular weight hyaluronic acid to deliver benefits to different layers of the skin. Definitely doesn't justify a $300 price tag, but sometimes it is worth to pay a little more for a product. Just a perspective from a cosmetic chemist. For anyone interested in ingredient, formula and product reviews and all about skincare, I'm on Instagram @labcoatcosmetics.

You also gotta consider that some people just have naturally good/clear skin due to genetics. Also people like her with naturally dry skin tend to not have issues like acne and large pores (not always but often) and the majority of skin products are designed for people with dry skin/it is easier to formulate occlusive, moisturizing products than it is light, oily-skin-friendly products. But yeah, genetics play a big part. But often if you have good, dryer skin when you’re young, it’ll suffer when you are older. Wheras if you have oily skin when you’re young, you probably wont develop early wrinkles and your skin will benefit when you’re older -shrug-

Here’s a fact about Dove Cameron’s name: Her real name is Chloe, but when her father committed suicide, when she was 15, she changed her name to Dove, because it’s what he would always call her :) Edit: just because you know that, doesn’t mean that others don’t. It’s useless to comment saying that you already knew that, I know a lot of people know it, but some people don’t. So if your going to comment please don’t say that you already knew that. Writing a rude comment when I’m just trying to give out a fact, is unnecessary and very rude. You know who you are, and I wasn’t trying to be your ‘google’ so think about what your going to say and how it’s going to affect other people before you say it, there’s no need to be rude about it.

I’m a licensed esthetician, the “wake up the skin” concept I think could literally come from a common way to end a facial with tapotement massage which is just tapping on the skin like a drum, it is to promote blood flow i believe but it’s also mainly used to literally wake up your client and signal the end of the treatment 😂

a b b i e hi : ) sorry I just saw I had a reply on this comment! I buy drug store sunscreen because it all just comes off in the water anyway (the key is remembering to reapply!) My favorite is Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen. That sounds weird but I promise you I have found products that are intended for children are much safer and more effective *most of the the time*. Coppertone kids once gave my dad chemical burns! I manly like to make sure a sunscreen protects against UVA and UVB rays, also anything that says it’s higher than spf 50 is a scam. always go for the lotion instead of the spray. 1 you get more product 2 you can properly work it into the skin. I’m an odd gal and read the ingredients in EVERYTHING! Always look for titanium dioxide or zinc oxide as the active ingredient. You’ll notice a lot of makeup products contain these without even advertising that the product contains spf. It’s probably not much protection but it’s helpful to know those ingredients are in your makeup bag too. Sorry this was so long but hope it helps you at the store : )
@cez12274 жыл бұрын
a b b i e as for a toner, I am a weirdo and make my own with rose petals it’s my great great grandmas recipe that no one in the beauty community would say is trendy or most effective but it’s what she used her whole life and she was gorgeous and it’s completely natural. As someone who has eczema, I used the Shu Uemura cleanser and I can vouch for it!! That cleanser really helped cleared up the eczema on my face and out of so many cleansers I have tried, this is really the one for my skin.
@imamajesticseahorse25484 жыл бұрын
This is no criticism of Hyram, cause he is for sure not the only one who has said it, but as someone who has eczema and is prone to incredible dryness and sensitivity, cleansers really do matter. I've used some that have caused redness and irritation, some that have dried me out, and others that actually cleanse my skin and leave it soft.
@DELLRS2012 Жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of this cleanser but as someone with skin allergies and eczema, I have definitely run into issues with cult favorites like cerave hydrating cleanser.
