Thanks for this video and great overview. I ended buying the 2022 comp levo alloy with the below drivetrain with seems to run an almost full SRAM build: Rear Derailleur SRAM GX Eagle, 12-speed Shift Levers SRAM GX Eagle, 12-speed Cassette SRAM XG-1275, 12-speed, 10-52t Chain SRAM NX Eagle, 12-speed Crankset Praxis forged M30, custom offset, 160mm Chainrings SRAM X-Sync Eagle, 104 BCD, 32T, steel So it seems to be a great start. I am not to versed in the recommended set. But hopefully that is a great starting point.

Congratulations on your new bike, it's always exciting to have a new ride. 🤙 The SRAM components are good, what your going to find out is that you're going to ride more and your going to be going harder on the trials. Which is going to weardown the SRAM components. After 6 months of riding twice a week and putting 20-30 miles each ride. That's what it took for me to replace the casset and chain. Your going to love your new levo I guarantee it. Thanks for watching 😁

Appreciate the review! Bought the same bike (in Oak Green) yesterday as a 21 leftover. Was lucky to find it and at a great price. Wasn't given any overview of the bike by the retailer. How do I remove the attached small tool at the bottom of the water cage? Do I need to buy a new tire gauge to measure air pressure (and new attachment to fill)? Valves are obviously much small than standard size. Can't wait to ride this beast!

Congratulations on your new bike. I honestly believe that the 21 year models are the best. I know for a fact that your going to love this bike. Thanks for watching, the tool has a latching door on the left side (looking at it if you were siting on the bike) its purposefully hard to open. The latch opens up. The first time I opened it I needed to use a flat head. The tires on the bike come tubeless ready with Presta valve. Modern pumps come ready for both types of valves presta(skinny) and Schrader(thicker). I have a specialized flor pump and it comes ready for both types. Some pumps have the capacity to change from one valve to the other you just need to remove some rubber grommets inside the pumps head. I hope this info helps and congrats one more time.

Agree on Specialized’s crazy pricing. Another thing, they are very anti competition. As a bike store, if you want to carry Spesh bikes, they pressure you to carry only their brand. They look negatively on your store if you carry other brands. I used to be very into Spesh, now I always consider other alternatives if they are good enough. $ for $, if you can find an equally good bike geo wise, you will find that you get a lot more value than Spesh. BTW what range were you getting on the Levo on Eco on flats or with climbs? I have a Creo gravel, looking at full fat MTBs.

Thanks for the good information I didn't know Spesh pressured shops to only carry their products. You just blew my mind, that's why when I go to bike shops it's either a Specialize store or not. I just looked up at my strava and the last ride I did at 100% eco was 34.81mi with 4,509 ft of elvation gain. When I returned to the car I still had two bars left. Thanks for watching

Why do you have the brake levers zip tied down?

😂🤣😂 when I was recording the video, my bike would roll of the bench with any movement. Zip ties was my only solution for keeping my wheel from spinning. 😁😁😁 Thanks for watching

Nice video. I agree with it all. So I’m running into that problem with the drive train. I have the SLX Shimono and it skips and just not the best spec for this bike. I wanted to do exactly what you did and throw a Sram group set on it. Did you have to get a new rear rim also? What did that swap run you?

Thank you for watching. Yes, I did change the rear rim, it's a crankbrothers Synthesis E-MTB Alloy Rear Wheel 29 Boost Rear XD, I payed 399.99. Don't forget to get the Specialize levo magnet holder plate with bolts. The magnet in the old rim doesn't fit and you need it for the motor to run. I payed 12.99 I also replaced the rear rotor with a Shimano xt 6 bolt disc brake rotor. I payed 38.99 The rear casset with the chain I think I payed 240. And the derailleur was a gift from my brother. I hope this information helps and again thanks so much for watching.

@@chidabike5659 Right on. I appreciate the break down and feed back. I want to make sure I get the most for my dollar when I decide to make that upgrade. My Levo Comp came with Shimono SLX drivetrain and I experienced skipping since the day I got it. Have you had any chain skipping?

@@Jojo-Machete-Mode My first 2 minutes on the bike & experienced the 'skip' in road gear. Thought the bike was maybe set up wrong, but now realize it's lots of torque on probably the wrong rear setup.
