"When you're like halfway through a projekt and you forget something, it can be so frustrating. But the main thing is, you just gotta stay patient. It's gonna work out. And it's a learning experience. So it's not a big deal." - Well said, man. Everybody who's done projects like these has felt the same frustration. The best thing about it: Mistakes make you a better mechanic! Absolutely.

Hi, friend! Great project! Could you mention if the original Vbreak or Cantilever works well with the STI levers? I want to convert my Hardrock in a Gravel, but I fear for de break functioning... Cheers from Brazil!!!
@slimboykip3 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, good question. Most STI levers have a short cable pull which makes them work with cantilever or mini v-brakes. If you want to use linear pull V-brakes, you need specific linear pull levers for them or an adapter that modifies the cable pull - like those from Problem Solvers. If in doubt check out your local bike shop for advice!! Good luck and thanks for watching.

By the way - the cantilever brakes im using in my vid are short pull and they work well with the shifter/levers

Hey man, nice bike! I am on the same project, what is your derailleur/shiter setup? (Going to the second video right now, hope it’s there!)

Hey thanks! I'm using all used 10 speed sram parts - road shifter/levers and a gx 10 speed rd. These are compatible across mtb and road. Good luck on your build!

What is the stem on that bike? 31.8?
@slimboykip2 жыл бұрын
It’s a 31.8 clamp diameter, 35mm reach stem by crust bikes

I seriously had to stop watching because the upside-down footage every 5-10 seconds was like watching a movie with an kid with A.D.D having the remote control.... really challenging to watch. Pity, it was good footage....ugh!😒
