I added a Badassbox to my Emtb and it works great. It clips over the existing sensor and no tie wraps needed, i even just used the original magnet that was on the wheel. theres a lot of negative talk about derestricitng bikes but its annoying when you are cruising along at around 15-17 mph and the motor is cutting in and out, atleast with this fitted you have the option to go faster than legally allowed. Theres no negative affect on the motor, these are designed to operated at these speeds.

Great review! Been using the Pear on my 2018 Levo and couldn't imagine riding without it. It just makes riding so much more enjoyable and everywhere all of a sudden becomes a downhill park as far as speed!

I've been using the LSS on my 2019 Levo for the last 6 months with no issues, it's easy to install, well made, and does what it is designed to do. I've just bought a 2020 Kenevo, and the LSS wont work on it due to the cover not fitting on the hub. For my new Kenevo I've just ordered a Levociraptor and will post an updated comment when it arrives.

The rumor is that Specialized will check the charge history and compare it to the mileage. For the devices that double the speed it's likely it will be pretty obvious that the bike was modified.

Simpler method: add a magnet inside the pedal, change position to lign with the new magnet. You are completely "derestricted".

if they see it installed, maybe. some dealers don't care about derestriction and others do care.

Blevo has functionality that enables you to make adjustments in order to compensate and get correct readings.

The Planet3 and LSS mechanical planetary gear systems all wear out over time. The LSS only lasts 2k - 4000kms before the cogs wear out. The Planet3 last about twice as long, but still wears out so I've seen from reviews online. How are you going with your Planet3?

Only if you tell them. Once the device is removed and the TCU reset to factory it's as if it had never been fitted. I've had a successful warranty claim post removal of a derestriction device so stop worrying and have some fun. A derestricted ebike is so much better than one limited to a paltry 15mph.

Yeah it will void your warranty for sure and doesnt matter if you tell them or not the system has a smart chip in it that can tell when it's messed with and keeps a history.
