Did you like season 4 of The Boys or are you just holding out for season 5?

This season didn't do it for me hey. No one was really likeable, they all just complained. I guess Ryan was MVP

Season 5 better not take 2 years like House of the Dragon is going to

This season of the boys is the epitome of what’s wrong with streaming shows dragging, shows out in order to help bring in profits but also hurting the story in the process. But I also heard that they wanted the show to end around this season and that Amazon made them pushing another season

This season felt more like we need some plot on each episode for a character and could have benefited with a more serial approach, like Hughie's dad and Frenchie's arc are barely mentioned at the end because there is a lot going on, but I did feel this is getting back in track, because a lot of people let the mistakes of season 3 slide because it's cool to see Billy with superpowers and more fights, but all that time apend with the old superheroes in season 3 was almost pointless, just to expand the lore

Just a point about the laser, Homelander can control the strength of his beam, like in season 2 when he warms the milk with it. Nueman and Marie probably can’t resist his full power beam, he used his beam at less strength to knock out Marie and lock her up, and he uses a low strength beam to not to hurt Nueman but to prove she is a supe. If he wanted to chop either of them in half he most likely could

This season was enjoyable, and Homelander was a delight as always. Your critism is right about Sage. If she knew Atrain was the mole, why didn't she say it. Why did she let the boys sneak into tek-knights party. She went through a lot of trouble just for nothing. The fact that the boys are still alive this season just shows how much plot armour they are given. They were alive in season 1 because the supes didn't know about them. Season 3 mostly because of they had gotten super powers. Their base location wasn't even hidden. Like you guys mentioned, Homelander could have just killed them any time but didn't. The writers were basically trying to assassinate the boys' characters by revealing their shady pasts. Which was a bit of and repeated. Making Frenchie bang that guy after murdering his entire family was lame. Kimiko killing that girl, and scaring the other felt repeated. Starlight reveal wasn't too bad, though, since it set up fire cracker. I get the writers are just telling us the boys are as bad as the supes they are trying to kill, but we have always known that. The whole thing of them saying all supes saves are staged is a bit off. But if you think about it, I have always wondered how supes are able to have time to save and make movies. As you guys mentioned, we have seen plenty of times the supes have saved people one way or the other.

If you’re curious as to why Hughie gets severely brutalized in this season all of a sudden, in a much more mean spirited fashion than ever, it’s that the actor’s being punished and humiliated for what his dad is voting.

The wokeness in the first few seasons was more generic where no one really cared. This last one everything is right on the nose with buzzwords and slogans. It's doesn't feel like satire but an agenda. I don't think the scenes with it will hold up either in 5-10 years when people don't know what they're even referring to. It's kinda how South Park has gone. While it's good at the time the pop culture reference are going to be too obscure when your reference material is "remember last week?"

You’re a fool if you think the first 3 seasons didn’t also use buzzwords and have an agenda. This whole show from the start is a left wing critique of capitalism and celebrity culture in the US. Homelander has been modelled after trump since at least season 2. If you couldn’t see that then you weren’t paying attention
