the best advice for positioning as support is to position in a location where you have very easy and safe places to fall back to if you get pressured. good positioning isnt just about where you are at a specific moment. good positioning also includes planning for your next 2-3 positions.

genuine question cause i want some advice, but how about u are at and have good positioning, but sometimes there is a teammate that keep losing los from u? make u can't heal them and force u into a bad positioning? this one of my problem when i play ana

@@araven2293 if you are in a position with good sightlines as Ana (where you can see your team/the point/the main area where fights happen) and someone decides to go into the one tiny room that is completely outside of your line of sight, that's on them. that's their responsibility. if they die, they die. think about it this way. is it better if your team is down one person or down two? you will contribute wayyy more value if you stay alive for your three teammates who AREN'T in the tiny room or across the map or whatever by keeping yourself safe by being in good positions.

14:33 - What people don't realise is that Orisa got that buff in season 2, I think, where her ult goes through barriers. The petal platform counts as a barrier for the sake of that circumstance. It's not that the platform wasn't high enough, it's that the AoE goes through the platform and gets far more value if you lift her up with it. It's a forgotten tech lol. That's why the ult went through and still killed him. Forget about the dev idea of lifting the Orisa ult; if you do that and ignore the Orisa she'll kill your whole team. Think of how Rammatra punches also go through the platform: same logic.

Unasked tipps cus U have great potential. Plan ahead for your next 2,3 Positions😊 Always have a way Out,Always and dont try To save Teamamtes that are too far gone. You Job is To stay Alive, U do that U get Plat easy ! Maybe Higher ! Nice lw gameplay !

Fantastic LW playing. Ana was decent but the positioning was bad. Just takes time and learning the map and what to do in situations. Overall enjoyable to watch.

As Ana (and Zen) you need to be extra mindful of your positioning because both move very slow. Always make sure to be close to cover while having good sidelines. Map knowledge and experience will help over time with that. Also, always check what team comp the enemy has. Do they have snipers? Don't peek. No Widow? Then it's a lot safer to peek and give your position away. A lot of the little things come with experience. They weren't doing bad at all. Every mistake of this player is fixable

see i use that ana positioning on first point defense in plat... (high ground left side) in the past i would drop down behind the phone booth where he died, but watching this makes me think about where i could rotate a bit better if i"m in danger - around the high ground to the right, maybe dropping down ultimately

the problem with using high ground on first point kings row as a support is the existence of snipers. in theory, it's good to use the high ground, and if you want, rotating and staying on high ground (and eventually playing from the window that's top right above the hotel on the defender side) is the best move. if you hear a widow, I'd say it's best to immediately move to the windows, but the main window is within easy sightlines of an enemy sniper and the hotel side window might make it harder to support your team? but the last bit may not be true, I don't play enough Ana to really know

yeah thats what i was saying. i dont really play ana a lot either, mainly mercy, but typically i feel shes one of the best support picks on kings row defense. @@sethescope

I have a preset nade on the inside stairs on the left so typically start the first fight at the phonebooth using it as cover. But typically always rotate to hotel so I can back out towards spawn if we're losing the fight but still have los of point and can go through hotel for some cheeky nades on the backline as they push

Here's my tip. The two positions I'd generally start in as ana would be either next to hotel or on the left side highground. If you get contested, both of these options should have you rotate to the same secondary position. From hotel you rotate back towards your spawn and use the wall as a guaranteed safe cover. From the highground you fall back into the upper walkway and then drop out of the backwards window facing your spawn. It will place you in the same safe position as if you rotated from hotel, with the wall as cover.

I'm not sure I agree with comments at beginning about Ana positioning. I like taking aggressive angles for nades and sleeps. If she's at the opposite side she ends up heal botting and not using two of the best offensive abilities in the entire game.

Good positioning is dynamic and is knowing what the best place to be on the map is in relation to the incoming threats. As well as good threat analysis in relation to character to character matchups. Anna is one character that can carry games if you have good foundational map knowledge and strong dicipline. You just have to play more and it will come over time.
