The Day of the Dead parade was not a preexisting event, it was created for this film. Apparently after this movie, Mexico did adopt it the following year during Dia de Muertos

Dave Bautista who plays Blofeld's Henchman Mr. Hinx is another best part of this movie. He is a homage to Oddjob, Jaws and Red Grant

Tis rare for a WWE star to become a beloved movie star but him and obviously Dwayne seemed to do it with ease

Fun fact, this film contains dialogue during the torture scene taken almost word from word from Colonel Sun, the first non-Fleming Bond novel written by Kingsley Amis. It's the only non-Fleming novel officially used in a Bond movie and the credits specifically thank the Amis' estate.

Love the Channel. Been enjoying your trip down Bond Street, through the years. However, it was your specific discussion about Monica Belucci at the end there that triggered a memory, or perhaps a. Idea… … If it’s a movie that you haven’t seen already, I would recommend the French Fantasy Action spectacle from 2001/2 Le Pacte does Loups, aka Brotherhood of the Wolf. Big Cast, including Belucci and sumptuous visuals. Don’t know how accessible it is these days though (I’ve had my DVD Copy for ages) but if you’re keen and can get access to it, I would love to see you both present your reactions. Thanks for all your Efforts! -g

Making Spectre, and Blofeld, the ultimate bad guy of all the previous Daniel Craig movies was probably a retrofit. Quantum seems to have been set up for that role, but then Eon got the rights to Spectre back, so of course they would use it. There was a long running conflict over the rights to Spectre, between Eon and Kevin McClory, which resulted in the rival Bond movie Never Say Never Again. I'd *strongly* suggest that you check out the movie "Road to Perdition." It's also directed by Sam Mendes, it's also got music by Thomas Newman (I knew when listening that it had to be the same composer), and it's also got Daniel Craig in a supporting role, as a villain, years before he became James Bond. Sam Mendes' stylish sceneries are very visible throughout the movie.

Christoph Waltz is another fantastic antagonist in the Daniel Craig Bond era. First time I saw him was in Inglorious Basterds and he nailed his role.

He absolutely deserved an Oscar for that role! One of the finest villain portrayals I've ever seen.

im glad you enjoyed spectre there are so many people who hate this movie and i don't think it deserves the hate it gets and can't wait for no time to die :) the more a react to these movies some of the bond films are better than what they were before even quantum isn't as weak as i that at first but i have liked every james bond just some are better than others. Yes i would put quantum as my least favorite. i also understand that the writer strike did make quantum weaker as well.

12:41 I think the closed captioning spoiled Blofeld. If I remember correctly, his identity isn't revealed until the third act.

As far as I know the parade didn't exsist before they used in this movie. The holiday is very old

You know, Monica Bellucci is all about the kiss. With Neo, with Bond.

Even though it was a bit of a silly storyline, you were not supposed to discover Waltz was Blofeld until the torture scene (when you see the cat, that's when the penny was supposed to drop). Unfortunately because you had the subtitles on, the surprise was spoiled for you because you knew he was Blofeld at the meeting. To be fair- we ALL knew Waltz was Blofeld before the film came out BECAUSE the movie was called Spectre, it was obviously going to have Blofeld in it. They should never have called the film Spectre in the first place

Pierce Brosnan wanted Monica Bellucci to play Carver's wife in Tomorrow Never Dies, but the producers went with Teri Hatcher instead.

They forgot to ask Monica Bellucci the right pronounciation of "Sciarra": which is not "Skiarra" but "Sheearra".

My biggest problem with this, besides Christoph Waltz not being a very menacing villain cuckooing at Bond is that you have Monica Bellucci and she’s in the movie for 10 minutes max and Bond ends up with Lea Seydoux, who is a great actress and beautiful, but I never got much chemistry between her and Craig, where I saw a lot with Bellucci. It would have been interesting to see them end up together. But I get it. Target audience wants a younger woman. It is what it is. I still don’t know what was up with the “James, I am your brother” thing. This isn’t Star Wars.

Spectre was just okay for me. It's not the best James Bond movie but it's not the worst either. This movie was nominated for a Academy Award for best original song which it won. Monica Bellucci was the oldest actress to play a Bond girl and I believe she was originally supposed to be in a earlier James Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan. Yes the names on the wall at the old MI6 building are the crew members of the movie. Daniel Craig actually injured his leg during the shooting of the movie. I'm looking forward to your reactions to no time to die.

My least favourite Bond film. It is somehow big and expensive yet feels pretty meh. And I hate what they did with Blofeld being his 'brother' as they basically just did the plot of Austin Powers in Goldmember, only worse. After the excellence of Skyfall I was really dissapointed.

If you enjoyed this one, you're certainly gonna like the next as well. I'm personally very meh on this movie. I think it had some real script issues. The whole "author of all your pain" bit just feels completely unearned to me. Blofeld just states it and we're supposed to take it as fact, but nothing in the previous movies ever hinted at it at all. To me that just makes it seem as though they were desperate to connect the dots, when the dots didn't need connecting in the first place.
