I drove 4 hours a few weeks ago to go to a Robert Page and Alison Krauss concert. When we were checking into our motel, the lady helping us asked what brought us to town. When we told her, she said "oh I'm so sorry about what happened!" To which we replied, "Why?" and she said,"Oh , you didn't hear? It was canceled." It was canceled about an hour after we started driving. Not rescheduled, CANCELED! The tickets were refunded but it was too late for the motel and gas and everything else we spent to go to it! I wouldn't even care, though, if they rescheduled. That may have been my only chance left to see part of the greatest band ever live! I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
@Douglas_I Жыл бұрын
I forgot to say this: To be fair, it was an understandable reason. Alison had the flu. She had been fighting through it at previous shows, so it wasn't a lie. However, I would've been happy to go and watch Plant sing with just backing tracks. At least say you're planning to reschedule, though, even if the time and date are not set yet. The show sold out in about 3 minutes after sales began, so clearly, most people would make the trip again to see it! They could offer the choice of refunds or to wait for the makeup show!

You have instantly jumped over my other 500 subs to number one. In these times, its just good to know you exist as a thing on KZbin. From your dessert to rain car breakdown to your most amazing guitar breakdown.... Spoiler: I used to sing in a crappy LZ cover band back in the 80's... Their are literally 5 guitars hanging on my living room walls...right now. I have not touched one in about a year. But you have forced me to learn this backward and forwards... I always liked the little solo thing at the start of this song. It really stood out from the crowd back in the day. I will have to remember this video exists and get back to it, because it needs a Strat tone really. My ancient HS3 'more is more' pickups are kaput. I finally worked out the strange buzzy noise when plugged in is microphonic pickups, not a setup issue I could fix with an allen key. To diagnose I just talked to my Strat like I had lost my marbles and pressed record in Reaper. Sure enough my voice was on the play back. P.S. I still miss England where I grew up, but that somewhat Black Sabbath looking scene at the beginning reminds me of how much doing three paper rounds every morning during early 1980s English winters sucked. NZ these days. No Jaffa Cakes. The chippy does not have vinegar. They think football is for girls. They think ugg ball with the dinosaur egg shaped ball is for men (rugby union - in case I was too cryptic there). Other than that it's alright.
@SpedSpedding Жыл бұрын
Haha yeah, that’s just a typical day in the north. 🐺 Btw if you haven’t seen the original video, you might not get it. Glad that you’ve diagnosed the problem, you’ll get it fixed no problem. The way your phrased it made it sound like you just shouted at your guitar and it sorted itself out. 🤣
