Something else not mentioned is that yes deciding the prain into two by cutting its bridge (dont remember the name) can help epilepsy but can cause memory loss. Alien hand syndrome isn't as good as you make it sound. Its not a friend, it could try to kill you it could hit someone really bad, and if it hurts its self then you'll be the one to feel the pain. If it gets in an awkward moment, you'll be the one dealing with it. Sometimes you might even have to fight it.
