Sorry to say this.. Being realistic here: Independence for Nagaland is impossible.. India will never let Nagaland go.. It's a natural buffer against Chinese influence.. No wonder, Nehru was so stubborn when it comes to retaining Nagaland.. So, is Arunachal.. it's a natural buffer.. No wonder British drew the border in favour of the British Raj.. which included portion of Tibet (South Tibet) Arunachal Mountains.. More autonomy possible but within Indian Constitution.. No international support (in political level), just solidarity, that too negligible.. China has its own bigger Problem. Naga issue is least of their concern.. Forgot about how Nagas will run it..!

If people hold on to such mentality it will seem impossible. Let's not forget India as a country was formed but Unions coming together to form the India Today whether it was willingly or forcefully the founding fathers knows. India has its own internal problem from the Kashmiris to the North, Khalistani to the west, partial south Indians who feel they too don't belong here and lastly the NE India. 7 decades ago The Nagas alone were fighting for Sovereignty but today most NE states have insurgency groups springing up. In the 20th century we have seen how Soviet Union thought they could create a union of diverse ethnicity and culture but we all know how it ended so let's not act like India as Country will last forever. History has shown us that every great empire like the Greek empire, Roman Empire and even even the British Empire(which can be compared to modern day country state like) in recent times had its zenith reach and fell. I would call out a person for living in a Utopian world if he/she thinks things will remain the same forever. That seems more than Impossible. Also putting the fear of China into Naga's mind is not an excuse for suppression of Naga's right. If by chance China does act like India. Though I know they too would give the same autonomy but under Chinese Law, they too will face the same resistance. Look around the world. It's not only about India and China. Look to the west the cradle of civilization. They have shown us that People can live as they want and however they want. Even our neighbouring country like Singapore a small country the size of a district of Nagaland state, Monaco a country of hardly 50000 inhabitants these are just few example of possibility in these possible world. Let's us all move out from the colonial and dependant mentality brought in by the British raj. Fortune favours the Brave.

Also, we are living in the 21st century.. Romans didn't have the global system that we have in place like today.. Be realistic.. Even if all insurgency in NE join force.. Nagas cannot beat India in a war. It's not about colialism.. Today Sri Lanka does not have enough foreign exchange currency to even import paper and ink to conduct exam.. With what money Nagaland will run itself.. Do you think insurgents think about people? They are all about feeding themselves.. Do you think they will pass down any wealth to people? You are previlaged coz you are not paying tax. Once insurgency comes to power, smoke will come out of your ass feeding the insurgents..

That is your problem, you have little knowledge about Nagaland. Several metric tonnes of oil in found in the Lotha region. Coal is found in found in abundance in the Konyak region. Natural gas is found in the Rengma region. The eastern Nagas bordering the Burma area where Nagas reside posses precious stone and if you go deeper towards the Chindwin where many Nagas reside. Gold is found infact most villages depend on mining though in small scale as their livelihood. Also Nagaland is a military strategic point, we all know the Imperial Japanese were stopped at the Naga hills. Also economically don't forget Nagaland as a region connects to the South east countries. Thus look at the Look east policy initiated by The GOI. They have something to gain from here or else they won't waste time if it is a land of nothing as you claim. It will be better for all if we learn about our own household before talking intellectual things about the neighbour. Here are several countries and their population size Vatican City 800 Navau 10'876 Palau 18'169 San Marino 34'017 Liechtenstein 38'250 Nagas as a whole across the world has around 4-5 million. If they have the right to self determination why not Nagas are we still naked running primitives?
