@matheusjahnke86439 ай бұрын
Honestly... it's kinda crazy. There is an attribute "personality"... honestly would have called it charisma so the shortened spelling "CHA" instead of "PER" wouldn't make me think of... perception. There is an approach(polite, normal and blunt) which works better on different people; There are 2 skills streetwise(good for blunt) and etiquette(good for polite). But there's more. Etiquette can pacify vampires and lichs and some humans[warriors, archers,....](a.k.a. they won't attack unless you attack or pickpocket them first) Streetwise can pacify some human enemies[assassins, rogues, ...]. This happens at moment you are seen by them. And on the topic of pacification... there are many language skills... each with their set of enemies that may be pacified with it.
@DarkOmegaMK29 ай бұрын
@@matheusjahnke8643 I was aware of the language skill being used as pacification, but i didn't know streetwise and etiquette had an application on enemy encounters. As for the pacification system as a whole: In theory it is a good thing that you can solve encounters peacefully and it might save from a tough situation, but on the other hand, some might see it as pointless because you could simply kill the enemy/enemies from that encounter, also, pacification (as far as i remember) does not grant you XP, so, in a way, you are harming your progression by using pacification.
@matheusjahnke86439 ай бұрын
@@DarkOmegaMK2 you can also attack while they are pacified. You get a free hit. They get hostile back again. And every time the pacification rolls you get XP in the relevant skill. Even if you fail.

@@DarkOmegaMK2 that's one thing Daggerfall does better than Morrowind; In Daggerfall you get XP each roll(even if failed)... meanwhile in Morrowind you get XP for success... So at some point it's easier to raise high skill than low skill just because it is more reliable.

I click the first one and then somehow my subconscious knows what to click next based on whether the first click was good or bad. Just don't randomly click on the biggest slice unless you have a good feeling about it. You only go total negative disposition after all 4 if you hit the biggest slice on the unhappiest quarter.
