Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella again! This is from old English folk song. Simon &Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too. I highly recommend Inner Universe cover to feel their "SPACY" sound. With JTBC Phantom Singer All Stars version, you can feel the space better! On SOOPBYEOL Alejandra channel you can find the video with Spanish subtitle. (It was shown to me just for a short while and geoblocked to me, but I think it's available to you. )

I discovered them through their cover of Inner Universe, the opening song from Ghost in the Shell. Apparently a weird one to start with because they don't perform it very often. I've been listening to the original for years, but I heard their version once and immediately loved it more. I was lucky enough to see them live in Atlanta and it was almost like a spiritual experience. Even songs that I didn't like before were amazing live.

If your planning to react these following originals it's important you react to them in chronological order of the trilogy. Save Our Lives is the beginning and Utopia is second. White Night is third. Please watch the official music videos of the two, there's also White Night which they created the visual taken from two live performances but it's possible that it isn't the third from the trilogy. maybe the third one is yet released. !!*😜

Thank you for letting me know because everyone else were like going by with it and if White Night was it didn't come out in music video form the same way Save Our Lives and Utopia did. I know when I wrote the White Night part something still tells me it can't be the third one even if the message of the song is as captivating like it could be included. I like to go with facts but I like White Night as much! This makes me even more excited and hyped up if the trilogy is continued still to come!!! Thank you!

i was in choir on collage, not active since quite years ago, and then i found their clips from my friend's twitter retweets.. at first, i watched and listened their own performance, and quite 😅😅😅 when i saw hyungho's video and he still doesnt use the 'right' way(?) for his singing, which im not suprises since he had no history for formal education for music before, and how bright mingyu's voice if you compare how deep woorim's voice, and doohoon who has such lyrical tone which is make sense bc he's musical actor, and then saw their perfomance video as 4 and...... wow... how can their voices blended so well, and ngl i feel like im failed as soprano after hear hyungho 😂😂 and voila, im falling in love with them.. and actually i wanna introduce them to my (ex)choir teammates and coaches bc i feel like they are the example we can get for every single different voice but still can blended so well and sound soooo good.. also imo forestella also a group who unofficially has soprano, alto, tenor and bass in 1 group 😂 anywaaaayyyy thanks for reaction, i always love to watch reaction from someone who 'know' to sing (if you know what i mean 😂) and cant wait for your reaction to their original songs 😬

Forestella always the best so far❤, they have no rival, there are quite a few Korean quartets currently but although they are good, they are very far from Forestella, nothing to do with it, their harmonies and sensitivity are beyond the reach of others 🥺👏.

I discovered them stumbling along while searching and listening to my favorite artist group Celtic Woman as I was searching for new tour videos and while my search was through The Sky and The Dawn and The Sun then scrolling by Forestella's amazing cover appeared. Since this day Forestella is the male version favorite artist group that I've had just as I had with Celtic Woman for nearly 20 years!! Forestella takes it a whole another level!* 😍💙

I got to know them through KZbin. Their name popped up on Dimash, Zhou Shen and Hua Chenyu reactions. Also on reactions to Pentatonix cover of BoRhap. For a long time I resisted listening to their cover of BoRhap as, like many, I’ve heard so many not good covers. I will forever regret waiting but I’ve more than made up. They are quite simply the best group currently. There is so much more for you to react to so please keep going. Simon and Garfunkel are NOT the original artists of Scarborough Fair. They took the version from Martin Carthy MBE after hearing it at a gig in London. They took 40 years before acknowledging where they got it from. You are right that it is a very old song with the words from around 1670 though probably older. The tune we can only date back to 1880 ish as it was sung to Ewan MacColl by a retired Lead Miner (b1874) in 1947. The words and tune together was recorded by Peggy Seeger and Ewan MacColl in 1960 and then by Martin Carthy in 1965 (which is when S&G heard it) and made commercially popular in 1966 by S&G. An extract had appeared on a Bob Dylan song before S&G heard it too.

Bae DooHoon is majoring in acting in KNUA (Korea National University of Arts, also # 1 uni for acting major) I'm not so sure the musical actors being "professionally trained" or just "practicing together"... but it's obvious DooHoon is the most experienced one on the stage among Forestella. For Kang HyungHo's case, it's not so rare that a rocker had no musical lessons. He said he used to cover MUSE so he could develop his head voice falsetto. Ko YuJin of Flower (Korean band) inspired HyungHo to recover his vocal range after his puberty changed his voice. He was maintaining 3 amateur rock band even while he was working as a research chemist (he majored in chemical engineering in Busan National University, it made people confused like he was a chemical engineer- even Forestory saying so, but he was a research chemist which is harder to be than a chemical engineer.) All 4 of them are super elite and talented hardworkers. 2 opera singers can manage their voices apt for pop music reducing their operatic tones, 2 non classically trained members can sing in a classical way to fit the song. They know themselves very well, know each other very well, listen to other's voice very well.

In my case, I think I was more actively discovering them than stumbling upon them. I believe it was around the time when Kalafina (my favourite vocal group from Japan) was disbanding. I searched for some other vocal group that has some similar feelings and Forestella is the closest. That being the case, I would suggest you to check Kalafina (or their sister group FictionJunction who's still active) if you had the chance. Even though they're already disbanded and can't make anything new, I always go back to them. 😄
