Hey guys! Big thanks to Reflected Simulations for allowing me to take an early look at his new Speed & Angels Campaign! As I am sure you can tell I am very passionate about aerobatics, and I hope this video will help you impress Paco in your backseat when you hop in the cockpit!

Would love to do this campaign but i don’t really see the point in buying Nevada apart from for this specific campaign. I might trial it and just buy the campaign and try and get through in 2 weeks 😂

I am an airline pilot and ex Air Force pilot. Finished the Campaign a few weeks ago. This is the best campaign in all of DCS. Love the fact you get to fly as a wingman for most of the campaign in formation. The training felt like training sorties back in UPT in real planes. The most difficult task in the campaign is in not Over G’ing the Tomcat. Even with VR you lose some feel without G forces. You just end up keeping the G meter in your scan. There are a few bugs, like Paco getting stuck on the tanker and the LGB’s not dropping on the naval bombing sortie. Otherwise this campaign is how I wish all DCS campaigns were designed. Would love to see the same format for other planes both past and future, like a Speed and Angels for the Phantom or the F18 or an Air Force version with the Strike Eagle and Viper. Campaigns like this allows former military pilots like myself to relive the best parts of military flying without having to deal with the crappy parts of the military.

30 minutes in and I'm definitely sold on this! Not that I didn't think Reflected makes incredible campaigns (Always does) I'm just not very competent in the F-14. The fact these are all realistic training sorties reminds me of the Iron Flag campaign by Baltic. That helped me pick up the A-10CII so fast and I imagine this will do the same! Thanks for the video

When I create missions, I make the place as alive and detailed as I can muster. Planes flying over head, helicopters patrolling the perimeter, soldiers where there would be security and little things like that. It really makes the mission more entertaining and more realistic. I have static aircraft everywhere. Forklifts, fuel trucks, fire trucks, you name it, it's there. Like you said in the beginning. Many I see on the public servers just don't put any effort into the small details.

Well Public servers also have to deal with performance issues unfortunately. But as I always say you get out of dcs what you put into it

I had the wounderfull oppriotunity to fly in an A6 intruder simulator at Whodby Island Navel Base cerica 1983. The instructor called out manuvers and then torn me up for my sloppy flying. "Lost to much altidude" "Sloppy turn energy bleed" "Altidude loss on roll" It was a nightmare-but lots of fun. This was a great indepth breakdown as always Spud.

This reminds me of Activision's F-14 Tomcat career mode on the C64. First training and qualification, then combat and advanced training up to Top Gun. An advanced game for the late 1980s!

I can hear the buzzt music from the enlistment, training, medical montage that plays when you start your career. I remember reloading my save game over and over until I got the callsign Maverick. Good times
