I am French and I have a vivid memories of me watching tv and coming across the Donkey skin ( or “Peau D’âne”) movie and being snatched by it ! I was also obsessed with the tales as a child even though growing up I realised it was very problematic 😂. Also , the male character on your sketchs is absolutely my type 🫣🤭

Medieval manuscript memes are hilarious and if you haven’t looked at them, definitely find them. They are WILD. My favorites are the “you know how to draw a cat/horse, right?” ones, as well as the Bayeux Tapestry “old school” memes. Just.. any art history memes are the best. Also, gonna be “that guy”: medieval styles are basically pre-1500s, with Renaissance coming after (and baroque after that in the 1700s-ish), and usually the simpler the garments fitting-wise, the earlier the time period. Very straight silhouettes. Not saying I don’t love the style mixing, just giving some Medieval Fair actor/nerd insights that may be helpful for replicating particular time periods 😊 I just love knowledge! lol Also I’m generally Concerned Wyvern on my good days lol
