no enemies spawn, the elevator platform at the start is visually bugged and its audio doesn't loop properly, the building wallrun immediately after doesn't work, rocket vfx don't show up, some item boxes don't show their graphics at the bottom of the screen, and i think the item box puff vfx is more broken than usual. that's everything i immediately noticed. this is a WIP decomp btw, says so in an edit in the description

I love how the Sonic community collectively agrees that DX sucks and that in order to properly play it, you need the conversion mod or to play the Dreamcast version. The only instances where I tend to see unmodded DX being played is in Speedruns.

I think in speedruns there's only one skip that isn't possible on DC, it's the Final Egg Act 2 skip where you just spindash up the ramp at the spawn point and fall to the elevator at the end, which transitions you to Act 3. Playing on actual DC hardware is obvs much slower due to load times and inability to skip cutscenes, but when it comes to the Dreamcast Conversion on PC, it's *almost exactly* as fast as its unmodded counterpart save for this one skip not being present.

DC recently found cutscene skips in the speedrunning community and can skip all of final egg by landing on a capsule out of bounds because it turns out DC version is so wildly different from DX. The only thing that might slightly be true is loading times but overall watching a dc speedrun is wildly different from DX and now SA1 has dc speedruns again and DC is getting a resurgence in SA1 speedrunning community.

That is actually quite wrong, PC DX is modded to death for it to be actually speedrunnable. Between the Camera Code Error Fix, the 63 fps mods and others, I can assure you that no speedrunner is using vanilla DX

Power up capsules have a broken effect, no HUD for some of the powerup cards, rockets are missing their particle effects, no enemies at all, you can't go through loops or wallrun properly, the capsule at the end of the level doesn't let you stand on it and all of SADX's bugs/downgrades.
