@bj2905 I saw the the race a few laps before the final lap, there was bumping back and forth. The Porsche driver Crapmiester aka Jorg even drove Jan off of the track on the first turn of the final lap. I thought the race was done, but Jan and the corvette came charging back and then at the final turn Jorg took it slower than he usually did and jan bumped him, ok fine its a bump, but to fish tail the other cuz you are beat? Dirtiest ALMS finish ever, lost faith in ALMS after this finish.

@ExoticlyExtreme are you kidding? you can clearly see jorg brake checked jan, jan's brake lights were on when they made contact, and look at how much gap he closed in that 1 corner? do you think the corvette handles that much better than the Porsche? Jorg was brake checking him so he couldn't get a run down the straight, but his dirty plan backfired. Jan was faster all race, all Jorg could do was bump him off the track like you see at 2:00 and then take him out at the end.

You guys obviously don't follow ALMS, but I remember Bergmeister got pushed into the wall by Melo back in 07 just like he did to Maggnussen here..The bumping and rubbing doesn't really matter, that's racing..but that move he did in the last straight was just some form of revenge against what Melo did to him back in Sebring. He obviously wouldn't let that happen again--

But melo let him off the wall. In fact Jorg opened up the inside for melo to duck inside as they went around the turn. So melo was on the inside as they exited the turn. I cannot find any HD video of that however, but the one clip seems to show Jorg pushing into the ferrari as they exit the turn.

The "Corvette drivers" (Jan Magnussen) son is Kevin Magnussen, a 19-year old kid with a contract with McLaren in F1. He's no Vin Diesel, but in a car anybody can be a psychopath ;-)

Not only just that but on the last lap the Porsche shoves the Vette off the track on Turn 1. Towards the beginning of the race the Corvette did the same thing to the Porsche, so he had to play catch up for majority of the race.

They didn't show the whole part. The Corvette bumped with the Porsche many times during the race and was very aggressive. In the end, the Porsche said "I am done with this" and pushed him into the wall.

@jedi09 on that lap the porsche pushed him off the track intentionally. he was letting the porsche driver know he was back, he was faster, and he was pissed about pushing him off the track. what the porsche did was uncalled for and should have been DQ from that race

If ALMS had some type of rule enforcement there would be no "back story" and Bergmeister wouldn't be racing for a while after something like this. Maybe when someone dies things will change...

I was sad to see it finish this way but the Corvette had it coming if you watched the entire race. He thought he could pull the same shit he did it at Sebring but Porsche driver had enough!

The term for this is "violence of action". When the Corvette tried to bump-spin the Porsche, all bets were off. The Porsche brought this dirty game up another notch. All's fair when you start this desperate attempt to win.

@ProjectM97 the vette was faster than the porsche, the porsche was just blocking him, even at one point forced the vette off of the track, bottom line the porsche driver raced dirty when an obviously faster car was trying to get by.

Actually, Corvette Racing is the most successful team in ALMS history by quite a big margin. The 2013 season just ended about a week ago. Why don't you go take a look at who won yet again :) Its almost boring watching the Corvette run over the competition time and time again.

bumping or rubbing up against your opponents car is part of racing,no matter who started it in this race.....it is still a chicken shit thing the porsche driver did on the last lap sending the corvette driver into the wall.....if that were me and after I recovered enough,that porsche driver would be still wearing my racing helmet on his face

@aadrew10 starting position/pitting young grasshopper. the fastest cars aren't always out front. rubbing is racing. however intentionally wrecking someone is dangerous, unsportsmanlike and completely uncalled for. it's racing. you're going to get bumped a little bit. the vette was obviously faster because he drove away for the couple of laps he was ahead. if you can't understand that, well you have a lot to learn about racing

Actually you obviously did not watch the entire race. The corvette(which I'm a fan of) had it coming the entire time. He wrecked the porsche out in a previous race that season. He also shoved the porsche off the track TWO TIMES during this race. I would of done the same thing. Yes bumping is ok but what that vette did was bullshit and deserved payback. If you don't think so then you obviously have never done any racing in your lifetime.

If you'd watched the race, Magnussen had been really irresponsible and basically downright reckless the whole way through, cheating half the time as well. From a moral standpoint he deserved it, trying to win by missile-ing into the side of Bergmeister. Also if you watch carefully, Bergmeister doesn't really turn into the 'vette going down the straight; sure he pushed him to the wall, but the spin was caused by magnussen pushing back into the track too soon as he has no weight in the back.

Its the drivers call. Bumping and aggression can just as equally be avoided. In this regard, it wasn't. Had it been me in the Porsche, I'd have done the same. (BTW, aggressive driving is just as dangerous which could, God forbid, result with a fatality as well).

So after blocking for 5 laps and finally frustrating the faster driver behind you, you would wreck that driver if he made just an extra 1 second of space for himself to get by? I mean he could have easily pushed the porsche off track as the porsche had done on turn 1 when the vette tried to go around the outside.
