When I first saw the "Speed limit comes off for Texas" part, I thought America was going to get it's own stretch of autobahn, but then I saw the rest of the title and publish date and I was sad.
@GearHeadHam2 жыл бұрын
We did have a stretch of Autobahn in the late 80s maybe into the early 90s, Montana. Speed limit was "Safe for conditions" just like in the good old days.

Top speed I’m allowed to go is 112 Mph in my ZR1? Talk about boring. I understand safety but that’s just ridiculous.
@TheDarrin105 жыл бұрын
all you need is a helmet that's safety gear the corvette was doing 167 like the Texas mile you just need a helmet!

red corvette shown had 4 point roll bar, racing harnesses, fire suits, probably special racing road tires

@@hunterlogan2913 still, i mean, i've hit 112 in a kia suv hybrid on the empty freeway, felt fast for me, but it would be a shame to limit a real car down there...

You don’t have a ZL1 then, unless you’re not serious. I have a 2016 RA camaro & it is limited by computer to 149. Tested confirmed and there’s lots more power, to get to 160 surely. I don’t think they made the ZL1 that goes up to 112 only

Well that's just on the Autobahn, not all of Germany. And actually there is one limit, "Drive right", meaning keep right unless passing.

Also check out Texas Mile/US Mile, and Airstrip Attack for starters. Then move up to the Silver State Classic Challenge Race in Nevada. That's the big one.
