You could have just slathered on Goblin Green and called it a day :) So refreshing to see brightly coloured, evocative and varied bases belonging to a single set. I think you’ve portrayed the reality bending “otherness” of a Blackstone fortress perfectly. I’m keen to experiment with a variation of this technique to try and evoke wraithbone. You two have done great work once again. Please keep them coming!

Yas! Thanks pal. Yeah, the tiles have some really gorgeous colours and weird patterns in them, so it seemed a shame to just do washed out icy blue.

Call me a derp but with some Miniatures i intentionally go for the "classic" green base. I did a little speedpaint to get my bloodbowl orks looking good enough for a few games and i think in that case the base somewhat connects classic bloodbowl with the new miniature line. Although I'm a sucker for nostalgic stuff anyway XD

Another great vid, as an airbrush artist I had a box full of bit n pieces to create paint effects. The comb is a good idea, I used a flat brush with notches snipped out to give me several parallel lines in one pass. Tooth brush with a little paint to create speckling by dragging your finger across the bristles. One of my favourites when using spray, was used tumble dryer sheets as a soft stencil, gently pull at the fibres to create thin areas allowing paint through. Slowly building up layers for amazing textures. Look fwd to your next paint.........Loving the turntable btw 😀

There's only one way to find out, I suppose! Give it a try :) In the worst case, you can just black it all out again and try watered down paints. Let me know how you get on!

So I love these, however I'm using all Citadel paints and I don't think the water amount is correct as some of the paints are base and others are layer. I did one base with your ratio and I did not work in any way. I have worked out the ratio for all the colors apart from white scar. I can't get it to do the spider webbing effect it just stays in a small circle no matter how much I change the water rato. Anyone else having this issue?
@MidwinterMinis5 жыл бұрын
How strange! Although, I haven't actually tried with White Scar, I gave up on using it - I think it's maybe one of the worst white acrylics I've ever used.
