I don't use these for cocktails, but I keep my cooking oils in liquor bottles with a speed pour.They are super convenient for drizzling over food or a pan, and for quick estimation in recipes where the exact amount of oil isn't critical.

yep, the sales of liquor pourers for the company we carry is mainly financed through the olive oil using restaurants :)

you should put your bottel complitly vertical, so you always have the same reference when you counting, if not with diferents angles liquid will flow different, also your wirst will get less tired when you working a lot of hours, you need to get into it if you never tried, at first flexibility on wirst will not be on point but you need 2 days to make it automatic

Hi Derrick! Love the shows and all your content, including the quests you have! Keep it up! Would love to see a bio episode about yourself and why the bar life fascinates you so much! Thanks!

yeah, I should do that again, I've done them over the years here in there and Q&A videos, but having a video all about myself just feels weird :)

Can you tell us where did you get the big pourer?
@cmcocktails3 жыл бұрын
five years ago I could, right now, not really :)

For me, "Pop! Goes the weasel!" was an accurate 1 oz pour. Especially because I'm usually dancing too much to the chaos in my head.

Too much strain on your joints. If you are right handed, have the bottle in front of you and point the pour spout facing left. If you are left handed, have the bottle in front of you and point the pour spout facing right. Make sure you over a sink or a bowl, where you will be pouring. With your palm facing upwards, slide in between your middle finger and 4th finger into the neck of the bottle.So now the neck of the bottle is all the way in between your middle and 4th finger. Grab the neck with those 2 fingers and the index and pinky too, but put your thumb on top of the speed pourer base. Your thumb needs to be on their to make sure it doesn’t slip off. Now turn the bottle vertically over for a few seconds and then quickly flip the bottle back over where you started. Do this a few times to get the hang of it.

So we can use this pourer as a cap instead of its own cap? It wont evaporate right?
@cmcocktails7 жыл бұрын
nope, you'll want to take the pourer off and replace the cap when you're done. You'll increase evaporation and chances for fruit flies otherwise.

Still tryna figure out how bubble 2 3 4 is different from bubble 1 2 3. Maybe just maybe you were actually just counting faster :D
@CubaColombianito7 жыл бұрын
he was suppose to count bubble 2 3 for the 3/4 oz not bubble 1 2 3
@iNinjeek6 жыл бұрын
2:10 you count bubble 2-3-4 5:50 you said its bubble 1-2-3 Do we count the 1 or no? Which one is it? Thanks!
@cmcocktails6 жыл бұрын
the "count" is the same in both those scenarios...you can say bubble 11, 14, 18 if you want to, as long as you count a set of three :)
