How you keep the stickered logo clean? If I apply a logo, then it gets dirty on the sides really quickly
@SpeedCubeReview4 жыл бұрын
Keep your hands clean and you can also use something to clean around the edges of the sticker that's relatively sharp.
@Jon.so.vile.4 жыл бұрын
Hey there.I love logos so what I do is cover it with packing tape.it sticks really well and its thin and strong. I use a plastic razorblade thingy to make sure is really in there and then run it around the edges of the centerpiece so it really clings in there. Then user a razor blade to cut around the edge leaving a tiny bit of the tape that goes over the edge. That way your logo is encapsulated in there and last a really long time.packing tape is really good imo.and you'll never get dirty edges. If you've ever retaped a skateboard its a similar method for going around the centerpiece.

@SpeedCubeReview2 жыл бұрын
The white/blue is bad for this. It's in a way opposite of what your world do in zz. You are protecting edges for the adjacent face.
@cubewerkz89902 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedCubeReview The 4 bad edges could be put on the F face and rotated clockwise or anti clockwise 90 degrees in a more move count efficient way. The y rotation would not be necessary. I see it from edge orientation perspective.
@SpeedCubeReview2 жыл бұрын
Of course, the reason you rotate in Petrus is for speed. You do zero F moves to orient the edges. It can be a bit tricky to grasp the switch from what one might do in zz or FMC, but it's definitely is worth it to do the y rotation.

I feel ZZ has more of a chance than Petrus mainly because of the EO step being in the middle of the solve. It certainly could get great times around 6 second averages but with the insane 4 second averages now I feel the mindless spamming of TPS is what's taking over.

@tdbtdbthedeadbunny Жыл бұрын
I’m confused. He said the blue and white was bad with white in front and blue on the right, but all he had to do to solve it was R then U'. Is U' not allowed?
@SpeedCubeReview Жыл бұрын
This is what I meant where it's a bit different with Petrus and how I almost missed it in the video. It is a "bad" edge but for the red/orange side and we are doing exactly what was mentioned (R then U') to fix it. So with holding green in front we are fixing the "bad" edges for red and orange. The reason for doing it this way instead of holding red/orange in front is that you do R and L moves instead of F moves to fix it, and then do a y rotation to finish off the first two layers.
@tdbtdbthedeadbunny Жыл бұрын
So I hold it in one orientation to orient, then rotate to complete the solve. This means that an edge is bad if I *can* fix it with R or L when holding the cube in the first way, because after the rotation I could not do that, and that is the point of orienting, to do as much as possible with R, L, and U moves. Makes sense now, at least in my head. Looking at the cube, I still have trouble figuring out what is good and what is bad without actually trying to solve the edges.
@tdbtdbthedeadbunny Жыл бұрын
The relationship between Petrus, APB, and 8355 is interesting. ZZ's EO stuff seems to indicate it was based on petrus. And Roux resembles corners-first. They both end up at some point with only 6 edges unsolved, so they can swap endings. It comes down to a judgement regarding how useful the top layer is as free space during the middle part. Having solved some edges doesn’t make solving the last four corners easier or harder, it's the first four corners that limit things. So Roux is smarter, but corners-first is fun.
@SpeedCubeReview Жыл бұрын
I get that. I feel like if I did only this method I would get used to it, but switching betwene methods kept making me confused on which type of EO I am doing.
