High speed sync is easy. It's second curtain sync that defeats me! As an aside, Elsie's outfit is terrific. Love that ragged edge top and billowy pants. Nicely done.

true for most cameras but not only global shutter but also leaf shutters sync at higher speeds

One question .. which flash mode did you use in the S5ii? Just the standard? I just received my S5iiX and see there are 4 flash modes and off. I've used off camera flash in the past but my old camera wasn't capable of HSS so this part is new. I have a transmitter and single flash unit on the way.

So shutter speed in high speed sync will affect flash and ambient exposure - but shutter speed only affects ambient when not in high speed sync?

Thank you for the video. The background looked great, but to me, it seems the model needed 1-1.5 stops of light.
