What a fantastic subject! Such little instruction needed, just naturally working her poses with tonnes and tonnes of creativity. She must have been a joy to work with! Thanks for the advice about TTL. I'd never been able to figure it out and tend to feel most comfortable on manual. But maybe I ought to give a try again sometime. Keep on clicking!

Yes, she is a good actor and great to work with. Try out the TTL, you might have some fun!

I learned a lot from this video as I had not seen anyone use the flash hand held. I appreciated the explanations of every you did because knowing why helps me learn better not just "do it this way" with no reason why. You made it look so easy. Thanks

Fantastic instruction with this method, and she (the model) is refreshing!

Thanks for this, but what was that device you had on the speedlight. The equipment list shows a decision dome. What you used was not the listed dome..

We used the Kobra Light Modifier. I don't believe you can find them except probably used somewhere.

Love this kind of shoot with strong lighting. BTW, could not find the Kobra modifier anywhere.(except Indigogo). Have they quit making them? Thanks for a really nice video !!!

I'm your new viewer, how do you like the photo on Lumix S- 52, will it come in handy at the wedding? Say hello to your model

You said in your last video that they no longer make that diffuser, what would you recommend?

Try to diy one yourself?

MagMod makes a few that you might consider. Here is one to look at: bhpho.to/3w3T11X

Fj flash well over the top for its price rather use a AD 200 nearly 3 times the power and far cheaper trigger plus more options for mods

True, but not as easy to cart around.

So, maybe I’m missing something, but, it looks like you put out a video using a modifier that no longer exists 😬

I believe the Kobra can only be found used these days.

If I’m not mistaken I believe they have these modifiers at Samy’s Camera….. at least I saw something like it hanging on the shelves in the store…..

Kobra Flash Modifier shows to be discontinued. Disappointing. I have Rogue FlashBender which works nicely but a bit cumbersome. The Kobra modifier seems very easy to use but no longer available. Those few who are trying to sell are price gouging big time!

I want one too!! Why is he using this if we can’t get it!!

@@xsarahx211check out Gary Fong Lightsphere. Unlike Kobra diffuser used in the video, the former doesn't fall off the speedlight. I just ordered one myself.

We used it because it is very effective. Glad some of you are finding some good alternatives!

You seriously looked at that makeup and thought it would make for good photos?? Compositions, lighting, poses, and overall aesthetics were very amateur looking, in my opinion. I can't imagine any magazines or agencies accepting work that looks like this. I'd say if you're going to teach people how to shoot, it's probably better to master the art first.
