Can't comment from my account on twitter, so I came here!!! It's truly an amazing process. Starting to realize we have similar approaches, but I understand how you create color variety now. From my own personal experience I wanna suggest coloring lineart with a simple trick before doing the overpaint. Copy your flat colors. Blur that and duplicate until she whole lineart is covered. Clip it to the lineart, lower the brightness, bump up saturation. With color balance adjust colors, for example for skin to make it more reddish! I also erase eyelashes, so they maintain the contrast. Lower opacity if needed and kerge it with the lineart layer. It helped a lot with my own art, so it might save you time as well! ❤ Also I hope I'm not overstepping, your process is already amazing, don't take this comment as a critique! It's just a suggestion from a fellow artist 😂
