They, along with the ponies of pony ville, were being hunted. Flutter shy was the first, it looked like she had been mauled to death by wild animals. Everyone mourned her death and she was buried in the forest, her body enchanted so no animal would touch it. A few others had died before it was Rainbow’s turn, this was the murder that made the ponies realise that someone was killing these individuals off. Who else could have pinned her to the roof like that? Arguments broke out as to who or what was doing this. Accusations were being thrown around. Pinkie tried to keep the peace and was killed the next night. Her body was found by Rarity. It was a sick and bloody death, only the remaining three saw the corpse and they all refused to talk about it. After that, nobody trusted anyone but their close friends and family. Pony ville was being torn apart. Applejack tried to keep the town relatively alive. Rarity holed herself up in her boutique while Twilight never left her castle any more, she dived into trying to find who was responsible. The rancher died trying to leave. She was heading to Camelot to bring in Celestia and Luna for help, she lasted a week from Pinkie. After that, the Pegasus refused to come down from the clouds and the Earth Ponies ostracised the Unicorns. Why? Because Applejack was killed using a spell, running her through in several places using vines. The remaining two elements of harmony, both unicorns, didn’t enter the public eye again. This distrust was the cause of Twilights death. She was killed after being kidnapped by an Earth Pony. Gutted, speared through and chained in place by the psychotic stallion. There were even reports of the unspeakable having been done to her. She did not deserve such a fate. It was too late to stop the killer. When Celestia finally arrived in confusion as to why nobody contacted her, all of Ponyville was silent. The corpses hadn’t been removed and while the streets were pristine, the interior of the houses was a bloodbath. After Pinkie Pie, not a single corpse had been moved from where they were killed. It was only upon others inspecting the corpses did they realise one major link between many of the bodies. They all had stitch marks on one part of them. The news reached the exploration team just as they opened the door to Rarities Boutique. The scent of rust was the first think to hit their nose. The entire was a hellscape, flesh from ponies were strewn across the ground and blood dropped from almost every surface. The centrepiece of it all, was the white mare’s corpse. She had killed herself. Those stitch marks marred her body everywhere, pins holding her upright. Nobody spoke of the Ponyville massacre after that. All records of it and the ponies victim to it were erased. It was too horrible to be kept. Celestia and those who were there had been driven mad by the scene. Luna had to make the Call that all evidence had to be destroyed. All witnesses killed. Ponyville wiped off the map. “It must never happen again” Edit: how is this still getting attention and views?? It was a normal day. Pinky Pie was hopping over to Twilights castle. She wanted her to come help with a random party. But when she knocked on the door, Twilight said she was too busy with the other girls. Pinky said it was fine. The next day, Pinky tried again. Twilight said she was busy again. This went on for weeks. Pinky eventually figured Twilight liked the other girls better. Rainbow dash was the first one found dead. In the library, her wings were nailed to the ceiling, her spine tied up. All the ponies wondered who could've ever done such a terrible thing. Pinky mourned her friend, but it was for the best. Rarity was found dead next. In her boutique, she was strangled by a ribbon with pins in her body to keep it in place. With no clues as to who it was, the ponies didn't trust anyone else in the town. Applejack was dead the next day. With the vine puncturing her body in such a horrible way, it had to be a unicorn. Only a unicorn could enchant a plant to do that. After days of inspecting the body, no one could figure it out. Fluttershy and Pinky Pie went together to visit there friend, Applejack. But Fluttershyfigured it out. It wasn't a plant at all going through her. The wounds were all ready there. The plant was, in fact, covered in paint. Underneath, were balloons. Pink balloons. As Fluttershy turned her head to Pinky, a stick was already being stabbed through her eye. With no time to decorate her body in any create way, Pinky tore apart her friend. Limb from limb, Fluttershy was nothing but a bloody mess. Now that they were all out of the way, Pinky could spend time with Twilight. Nothing was stopping her now. When Pinky reached the castle, she found Twilights dead body. Her crown on the ground, and a note next to her, it was obvious Twilight had committed suicide. The note was written, explaining how she wasn't a good princess, and she didn't deserve to live. Pinky didn't know what to do. She placed around the castle when something caught her eye. Plans for a huge party. A huge one. And it was for her. They were planning a huge birthday part for HER. Months early. Pinky couldn't handle it. She ran to her house, horrified at what she had done. She couldn't take it anymore. She tied herself to balloons upside down, and tore out her heart. The next day, the ponies found her there, with the words "happy birthday" scratched out on the wooden floor. With the pained smile sitting on her face, there was no doubt who the murder was. I just made this up, I'm not a writer oranything. This was just for fun.

I know this gore and nothing more, but what if all of these deaths are somehow representing the types of feelings people might get? Mian is just using the main six in this type of way to represent different reactions to faliure with each character they think fits each one best. Twilight Sparkle's is feeling like you've lost your sense of pourpose because of faliure. Notice how her wings are speared and her horn is gone. Her princesshood and what comes with it becoming useless. EDIT: I realized Twilight's might actually represent faliure making you feel like everything you earned you don't deserve. Fluttershy is torn apart. Representing the feeling of being torn apart by your failings. Rarity is full of pins, fabric, and posed like a statue, an imitator. Representing the feeling that you've been lying to yourself and only posing as the person you were before you failed. It represents loosing your sense of identity from failure. Pinkie Pie is were things get tricky, but I think it represents the feeling of trying to remain positive even though you feel like your tearing part. Trying to be happy but slowly crumbling around the pain and guilt you feel. Rainbow Dash is pinned the ceiling. Possibly representing the feeling of being defined by your failings. Like it's the only worthwhile thing being remembered by, the only thing worth noting about you. Applejack's was the most difficult to figure. But I decided it represents the feeling of being soffocated by the guilt of faliure. EDIT: A commenter pointed out it could also represent overworking yourself to death to prevent you feeling like a faliure. I think it could also represent trying to overwork yourself in order to fix your mistake, and completely exhausting yourself trying. Feel free to develop this idea further AND LASTLY. Don't ever feel like all you are are you mistakes or faliures. There's so much more to you than what you've done wrong. If you did something wrong or failed in some way, you can improve. You don't need to go to such extremes as I described here. My own mistakes and failings, even if they happened years ago, still make me feel bad. Don't be me, don't be the type of person each member of the main six is representing here, adress the issue, ask for help, and eventually move on. Let yourself relax, let yourself be happy, let yourself find peace. You deserve it.

I LOVE the idea and stories you came up with. I wouldn't have thought of this without your comment. But I would like to add to AJ's story. I will warn you however I tend to think really literally, so this might not be the deep introspection of your comment. I feel it is less of the suffocation of failure, and more about the failure to do enough and pushing yourself to the limit until it's to late. So while rainbow dash is burdened by seeing all failures as equal, and therefore she feels she isn't good enough, AJ is burdened by the feeling of her winnings never being enough. So in order to push her herself, she does more and more work until she puts herself in a situation where she can't get out of. She is punctured and contorted by something she made herself fight. She clearly is trying to fight back, but she is overpowered. Her last thoughts are how she knew she could never be enough for what she needed to do.

I really feel bad for the ones that still seem alive and struggling, like how Fluttershy still seems like she's still crying for help before her last moments and Rarity seeming like she's trying to struggle out and find at least one pony to help is really sad. But it's mostly Pinkie Pie I'm more focused on, the smile on her face and the look in her eyes makes it look like she tried struggling before but just finally succumbed to the insanity and the pain. The most horrific thing is; is that I actually imagine Pinkie saying, in a weak and shaky, but still a bit enthusiastic, voice before her last breath: "So, t-this is how I die, huh? *cough* hahaaah, I knew it was gonna be crazy, but d-...didn't think it was this crazy *cough* *cough* maybe crushed by a boulder.....or an explosion of confetti hahahahahah...Ahahaha Hahaha, *HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA-* ......." *oh god, why did I imagine that*

The fact that twilight looks so peaceful in her death is quite ominous and I love it

Death was upon Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle, leader of the Mane 6, was dead. The first murder was likely an occult ritual to summon something. No murderer would chain up their victims, cut open their chest, pull the rib cage and spine through it, spear down the wings and tear off the horn of their victim. This was the work of an occult. There had been rumours of cults and rebel groups, but we didn’t think they would go this far. We still aren’t sure what the ritual actually summoned, but the deaths got worse after that. Fluttershy was found in the woods, apparently torn apart by animals. We weren’t sure if we should include her death here, but the public thinks we should. It could have been an accident, or maybe it was purposeful. She was found shortly after Rainbow Dash, but her wounds indicated she had died many weeks earlier, and likely succumbed to infection or bled to death. She didn’t get much special treatment, but the town was scared. Nobody would think that she would have been the next to go. No traces of any sort of ritualistic markings were left behind, so her death may have been the better option than whatever they had planned. Rarity was found one morning, in a display window. She was still alive, but unable to scream, her vocal cords replaced by red strings, along with most of her internal organs. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to be saved. Held in place by pins and covered in crude patchwork, Rarity’s death hit the town hard. That’s when ponies really started to get scared. Suspects were few and far between, with most of them consisting of the rest of the Mane 6. Pinkie was the main suspect, until she died. I can’t verbally describe how horrific it was. We know this wasn’t suicide. Still, Pinkie died smiling, so some still think she was apart of the cult, and was aware that she would be eventually sacrificed. Pinkie likely had the death with the most shock value. Ponies locked their doors and trusted no one. Rainbow Dash died next, her wings nailed to the ceiling as though she were speared in flight. Her spine, however, was tied to the ceiling, indicating occult activity. Scootaloo was in hysterics, and was unable to contain herself. She found her sisters body. Eventually, not long after, Scootaloo committed suicide. I don’t have much else to say about this case. Applejack was the last one left. They found her body near Fluttershy’s grave, speared by plants. Each member was buried in the same field, along with Scootaloo, and a handful of guards who died protecting Twilight Sparkle. The ordeal seemed like it was finally over. The town was scarred, obviously. The lurking threat of whatever was summoned looms over the town to this day, but things are slowly going back to normal. Respects have been paid. But there will be more. I know it. Something is now tapping on my window, hoping to get in. It must know I am writing this. I’m scared for what tonight will bring. In short, goodbye.

The princess of friendship found dead, her horn found cut off on the floor, her wings inpaled with spears, and her ribcage torn out. It was odd how the princess wasn't able to defend herself. All strong stallions and mares, whether unicorn, earth pony, or pegasus, were all thrown in the dungean and questioned. Only someone so strong could do such a thing. Hours later, a report of a dead pegasus in the forest was brought to light. Fluttershy was found in the forest, it looked as if she was mauled by aggressive animals. Fluttershy's case and Twilight's case were both ruled as murder. Ponies argued whether or not Fluttershy's death was murder or tragedy until something peculiar came up. She couldn't have been mauled by animals, her cutie mark specializes in talking to animals and it doesn't matter how aggressive or ravenous an animal was, she could befriend it. They started looking for clues, but none were found. A detective pony named Clara Loveheart found a clue 5 hours after Fluttershy's death, there were marks on her hooves. It lookes like something was tied or locked onto her hooves to keep her from possibly escaping from somewhere. Someone must've locked her up and when she tried to escape, she was murdered. Ponies all over Ponyville were set into a deep state of panic, locking their doors and windows and staying out of the public eye. 3 days after Fluttershy's death, someone noticed it was too quiet in the boutique. Sweetie Belle had noticed Rarity hadn't been heard from for quite a while. Sweetie Belle was soon running out of the boutique, panicked screaming. When ponies went to investigate, Rarity was found dead. Pinned in place, strangled, and clawed to death. Spike was questioned. Spike denied even seeing Rarity at that time, but ponies blamed Spike for Rarity's murder because of the claw marks. Spike loved Rarity too do such a thing. Rarity looked as if she was trying to get somewhere, she was find trying to exit the back door. They assumed Rarity was going to sneak out to get the princesses. Ponies were too afraid to go get the princesses, and Spike was too upset about Twilight's and Rarity's deaths to even light a spark. Pinkie was supposedly the heart of the village, trying to bring joy all around. Pinkie was found dead by Mr. and Mrs. Cake behind the house. Pinkie's was the most horrific of all, she was gutted and hung like a broken puppet. Ponies were terrified, the mane six were being targeted. The mane six were kept in a special room to be protected. Rainbow got impatient and wanted to find the culprit herself, she zoomed out the door to find whoever monster was doing this. She was found dead by a gaurd. Rainbow was pinned to the ceiling and hung by her spine. Applejack was the last one left. Clare Loveheart was having a tough time finding the culprit. Who would do such a thing to the kind ponies that lived here? They were all killed in malicious ways. All taking away important things that symbolize their cutie marks. Then it hit her. The clues that were left, it made sense now. All the murders resemble them failing doing what they loved and what their cutie marks symbolize. Just as Clare was about to get a message out to the princesses, they was more panic. Applejack had tried to leave and was found dead in a field, impaled by sapling tree. The mane six were dead. It had to have been a unicorn based on Applejack's death. All of Ponyville was taken in for questioning until Clare thought about the cutie mark thing again. Why would someone take away someone's love for what they do and make a horrible murder based off of it? She then realized who it was. She called in a town meeting. The princesses had arrived in shock. The bodies were kept intact where they were. Clare called out the culprit. "Chrysalis, you can come out now."

I have a theory. What really got me thinking was the fact that there were bandages around rarity's hind hooves. Almost as though someone had attempted to stop the bleeding with the closest thing they could find, but ultimately just gave up and left. Maybe the killer realized what they had done and had tried to help her with the pain, stop the bleeding, but couldn't think straight and ran out of panic and the paranoia of being caught. But then again, to kill because you are not in a good state of mind, or "snapping", usually consists of the killer getting it done in a quick way or a brutal way out of hatred or extreme stress caused by the victim. Either way, the death is usually fast because the person is not sound in mind, thus making it harder to do anything as malicious as what was done to rarity. And in the case that it is extremely brutal and drawn out, the act is done with the closest thing on hand and repeatedly until the victim is dead or the guilty party has gotten their feelings out and has calmed down. The closest thing could be a blunt object, or the killer's own hands, thus dragging the murder out due to the lack of proper tools.Rarity's killer was clearly in a conscious state of mind. They knew what they were doing. They knew exactly what they were doing because they took the time to carve a heart in the chest of their victim with extreme attention, not done in a hasty, messy manner, otherwise it wouldn't have such a neat curve and would be more jagged. They put pins in her. Multiple pins. They went through the act of getting multiple pins to stick her with, tying her up with a ribbon round the throat. They knew exactly what they were doing. Maybe they wrapped the wounds to draw out the act longer, so she would bleed to death slower. Or maybe Rarity tried to help herself by wrapping her wounds in ribbons, the closest thing she had to bandages. She is a unicorn, after all. Weak as she was, she could only use her magic long enough to wrap her hind leg wounds, and even then only a few. Or, some other pony came over, found her, panicked, and tried to help her, then ran to get actual help and by the time it arrived, rarity was already gone. And yet, there is a third possibility. Rarity could have done this...to herself. All of the pain and torture. Her friends were dying around her, throwing her into a state of depression and self-loathing. She believed she deserved to be tortured, via pins in her skin. And she has stitches, which could be a sick thought: "if I stitch up my flaws, I can...be fixed again." Her main passion was creating. She wanted to grit her teeth and endure the pain to be something good again. It just resulted in the death of her. Pinkie pie. Now, I know MLP doesn't exactly go by the proper horse weight, but we all know a couple of balloons would not hold up even a my little pony character like that. Clearly, magic was used to provide the balloons with more strength, or to make Pinkie's body lighter. Now, I may be going out on a limb here with this last bit: Pinkie seems to be smiling in the picture. But closer inspection reveals the smile is drawn back and held in place with the strings of several balloons. And she is crying. Now, it's a bit obvious that she couldn't be in a position like that and still be smiling on her own. I believe it could be possible that the killer couldn't bear seeing her not being happy, at least on the outside, so they made it so that even in her final moments, the usually happy-go-lucky pony was smiling, as she usually was. Fluttershy. This one was exceptionally harder to figure out. But the thing I noticed is: there was no bone connecting the severed part of her hooves with the upper part of her legs. Now, that in it of itself is a bit...odd. It could be an act of magic, or it could be that the bone was sawed away. But the bone in her hoof doesn't seem to have any signs that it was sawed at. In fact, the meat itself looks like a perfectly clean cut, which could mean that it was cut with a butcher's knife, and then a saw was used to cut the remaining bone away, which would be...a bit uncalled for, but not impossible to believe. Or it could simply be magic. As for the chunks of her missing, the guilty party could've cut away chunks of her to make it seem as though she was mauled. It would be a plausible reason for death, a reason that would easily explain everything and could entirely be believed. A certain furry creature of hers hadn't been fed quick enough, and...that's that. Or...the guilty party thought they had finished the job and dumped the body somewhere to decompose, but Fluttershy was simply unconscious and in a state where her breathing was so shallow, it went unnoticed by her killer-or, attempted killer. Then, a carnivorous creature came across a nearly-dead fluttershy and saw a free meal. Fluttershy died screaming as she was eaten by one of the creatures she loved, and was too weak to fight back. If that's the case, then I believe that she had been tortured. Her ribs were showing, a clear sign of starvation, and she had several severe cuts and scrapes, which could have been cause by her potential mauling. But her hooves. They have bruises. All four of them. Ring-shaped bruises all the way around the hoof, almost as though she had been bound or chained and it dug into her tightly. Or it could be teeth marks, not quite certain. If wanted, I could try and break down the remaining deaths as to what I think could have possibly happened. 😊

From what I can observe, those spears stabbing Twilight seem like something from a royal guard or possibly a soldier in battle. Her ribcage looks like it was pulled out of her, mostly likely by magic. Cutting a horn off is pretty hard, but I'm sure you have your theories. Rainbow is pretty hard to determine, but Applejack is most likely the victim of someone who either grew a plant inside her or conjured a plant by magic and impaled her from the inside.

Okay, I'm seeing much more of Rainbow Dash. Her left ear seems to be chewed off, and her spine is showing. There are several nails that are pinning her to the ceiling. Most likely, she tried to fly away and the killer decided to keep her stuck in one place so they can finish. There's even a noose tied around her neck that's coming up from the ceiling. Applejack is tricky, but I can just make it out. Observe how the root source of the growing plant is under Applejack. This has to be a very strong plant to be able to impale her... or maybe they used magic on her. It's pretty obvious the killer is a unicorn, but who in the heck could it be?

2:58 I have an analysis on Twilight! I can clearly see the chains, so unlike before, I don't think the spears are from a war. I'm thinking she was imprisoned and maybe whoever did this used magic to pull out her own ribs. She probably tried fighting back with magic since her horn is on the ground. Judging by the solemn look on her face, one can assume that Twilight eventually gave up and accepted death. The spears are still implicating one royal guard did this, but she clearly was never killed in a battle.
