Great video. can't wait to see you get the new place configured. Good luck on the purchase of ZR1. I am with you, Chevy should share some numbers. They did hint at some numbers a few months back, but never backed them up. Of course we are still waiting for Ford as well. I think the use of the term hybrid for the cars you mentioned is not exactly right. I see a hybrid as something you can drive a good distance and at highway speeds, on electric only and then go to gas. Depending on the type the engine recharges or you plug it in. The E-ray and Zora are what I would call electric assist. These cars use electric mode to assist in performance only and don't add to range. Not putting these cars down. They are awesome, but note the same as hybrid Camry.

Lot of pros tell you that 700+ hp at the Nürburgring are not faster in any case because it is such a special track. The limits are more in the chassis, suspension, tyre and brakes. So IMO it is possible that the Zora and ZR1 aren‘t that much faster then the Z06 around the track, although they are of course the faster cars in a straight line. I mean try to put down 1200 hp on a bumpy narrow race track….good luck to you.

So tell me why the Mercedes AMG One pushes to 1063HP hybrid powertrain with the best current laptime on the nurburgring at 6"35'10 please ? The nurburgring track requires a racing chassis , downforce similar to a GT3 racecar, a perfect balance of masses front /rear , a great power to weight ratio but also a lot of power.

If Chevrolet isn't posting lap times. I have to wonder if maybe lap times are not as impressive as we're expecting or hoping. Maybe the Z06 is near optimum for rear wheel drive only? I'm sure the ZR1 will be faster, but maybe not as much as we think.

Why don't you just stick to your ford and quit acting like you think how great the corvette is when you are a die hard ford guy that is hoping the new mad max edition mustang will out run something in its price range. Start testing the Z06 against a mustang or anything else that cost the same money and see what the results are, not only being the most expensive mustang ever it has won the title of the most gross ugly award, congrats to you and ford

It's not that simple. Top people involved have to get the go on such. Driver's just can't just do such without approval issue. Lap time at VIR with C8 Z06 is very competitive vs others. Don't want to hear was not factory driver. GM does much testing there on both Full and version C&D use in LL.

@@PEACEOUTXX1 Most of ZR1 aero is from GT race car and Z06. C8 race car was out before Z06 was released. GM has been racing Corvette since late 90's. Ford has not been consistent in such. I do agree they like to take ideas from different companies.

Corvette and Ford do not post Nurburgring lap times for one simple reason : they do NOT have what it takes to compete Porsche. Be it drivers, be it money, be it resources, be it a good car, or a bit of all.

😅😅😅 aren’t you the guy that was evaluating the new vett compared to the mustang GTD and were pretty much saying how much the vett was, well just in the battle at the brick just finished and 🤔 what a surprise the GTD mustang beat the vett , the GTD was built to beat the GT3Porsche and by the end of the GTD pro season I’m betting the GTD mustang will win the championship! See that’s what ford does
