When the car first came out it was this fellow "VRAlexander" ( for the first half year he called himself on youtube "ghost rider") I think he called himself that was the most prominent guy on youtube showcasing the car. I love how he revived the engine when at a stop and it would scare the living hell out of the yuppies having lunch at the restaurant patio. Sadlt he died in Porsche race with a 911.

Indeed RIP Alex... he would not have gotten the 918. He was done with Porsche after the CGT carbon fiber issue. He would have gotten the Agera R instead, based on his admission of wanting to "take another look at Koenigsegg" not too long before he passed.

Yes, and make it possible to recreate VRs wheel spec using the factory wheels, and the possibility to remove the roofs. I shared a VRAlexander spec CGT livery but it's not 100% accurate due to the wheels. Shame on playground for doing the CGT dirty. Sounds just like the E60 M5 in the game too. Garbage.

But there are numerous situations where he de-frauded or scammed people (whether it was assets or currency) and then fled the city, state, country, etc. It's okay to follow your dreams and inspire others, but he did it in illegitimate ways, there are probably people who are still financially recovering from his actions.

Don't hate on these two. They were mostly just making noise. It's the rich boy equivalent of driving around with subwoofers rattling. If I kept my Stingray in second gear and the muffler set to track it would act the same way only not so high revving. These guys sound like motorcycles, not sure what their red line is but it sounds at least 9. Obnoxious is not the same as dangerous.

I think your statement that the Porsche's engineering isn't impressive is a little unfounded. While it is impressive that an electric car is capable of that much power, it really can't compare to the Carrera. . .

the Porsche was also made in 2005 the telsa was made years later. for its time and still today the carerra GT is a very impressive piece of engineering. you must also remember its not all about straight line speeds on the track the Porsche is a lot faster.

VRAlexander was a real driver. You see his other videos you'd know. He was doing reverse j-turns in his car at the texas mile. Plus his top speed run video of his car at the mile. He was one of the few cool exotic owners who mastered the CGT to the fullest.

So many haters. Loved every second of this video. Two CGT drivers having a blast, including plenty of head turns, confused drivers and a wtf moment for the Lambo driver. These are the streets of the "Westside" throughout LA, including Beverly Hills at the start and the last sprint being on the 10W off Centinela. As a Porsche owner, I am humbled by these beasts, and the many great cars I see daily while cruising these same streets, meanwhile y'all hatin' on the dudes camera?

This is in Los Angeles in the Valley (san Fernanando). The city is separated by a mountain range. Take that Denver. The will get on 405 freeway but they will not go into LA city but will turn around and stay in the valley. Like NY there is traffic so the did this during lunch.

Usually only asshats get off on throttling their exhaust in neighborhood livingrooms, pressing pedestrians to hurry up through the crosswalk, and screaming look at me I need attention. If you got your jollies out of second gear on a track I would think either showing off or being a prick on public streets would lessen.
