By the way you can do this without the dongle/adapter by putting the micro SD card inside the phone and put all the files in the micro SD card. He used the adapter because it was quicker for his speedrun (like explained in the video). You can't do this in a iPhone because it does not use SD cards in the phone and probably is not compatible with SD cards. You cannot also do this if you don't have a micro SD card to full sized SD card adapter (which is a full sized SD card where you can put a micro SD card inside of it) for you OLD 3DS because of three reasons. 1. Most Android phones don't use full sized SD cards 2. The OLD 3DS don't use micro SD cards. You cannot also use a normal full sized SD card (non-adapter) because of the first reason. And to remove write protected SD cards, try putting tape in the small gap to the right and the lock in the left for the full sized SD cards and its adapter (try lookin up a video). Hope that I answered everybody's questions.

Personally I did a 5 minute homebrew by preparing the files already. I started as soon as I took the micro sd out by plugging it into my adapter then putting some of the neccesary files in. I also grabbed the 1p0 and continued with the unsafemode hack. Downloaded the file, popped it in and done.

your phone screen will flicker on camera due to shutter speed of the camera and the refresh rate of the phone syncing slightly if they synced fully it would be crystal clear common thing to happen

Could someone please help me. I followed his other video on how to homebrew and cfw the new 3ds.. if I change micro SD cards the new 3ds xl won't turn on. If I tried to turn it on, the blue light appears for 1 second before disappearing and the console remains off. I did a factory reset of the 3ds and the same thing still happens if I try another micro sd. The 3ds is stuck with the 16gb micro SD but I want to change it. I've tried looking this problem up and I can't find any information relating to my issue. Any ideas?

@THEGUY3ds i don't use a micro sd card (or a micro sd to sd card adapter) I use the sd card that came with the console, but... now that i think of it, i have an empty 16gb micro sd AND an adapter, so i can use that, and I get more space, so... the problem is probably solved! Thanks anyway!
