Hi, I hav a 1994 K1500 with the old 1 piece 4l60e trans… I’ve just brought a 2002 5.7 LS1 engine with its flex plate attached. I’m wondering what I need to buy so the two will work correctly…thkq

Why is it that all the flexplates I have been ordering from the parts store has a weight on it? The tci one that l had on there does not have a weight on it?

I have a 6.0 with a 4l80e. Trying to go HD and bought a plate from autozone and it's not concave like the one in the video but it is stamped concave. I also noticed there are 3 holes for the converter instead of the 6 on the original. Is that correct? Or did i receive the wrong flexplate?

I have an LQ9 that I am mating with a 98 4L60E. Can I used a plate from the 5.7L Vortec that the transmission was originally mated to?

I have a 1982 350 cu.in Chevy Cube van.. I just removed the TH400 and installed a 1991 700R4... Is there a difference in the Flexplates ? I just bolted it right up...had the driveshaft shortened and a new 27 spline Slip Yoke installed to fit into the 700R4. I am hearing a rumbling noise coming from the Torque Converter area... not sure what the noise is. I haven't taken it out on the road yet as I don't want to damage anything more than I have to.

I have a 2001 5.3 with dished flexplate and the older version 4l60e 2 PC but takes older 298 mm torque converter so do I just need the adapter that goes on snout of torque converter and into crank

It's not a 5.3 or a 6.0 flexplate. It's a 4L60 or a 4L80 flexplate. Heck 4.8s came with 4L80 trans with the "6.0" flexplate. Fix your incorrect info!

I have 2004 LQ4 going to be bolted to a powerglide. Is that the same requirements as the th350 or 400?

I’m trying to figure this out to the 5.3 don’t bolt up to turbo 400

My converter snout adapter moved around and made noise, and the flex plate rubbed the little stop ring on the starter drive shaft, also making a bad sound. I ended up removing and installing this transmission 4 times before I discovered these were the culprit causing the sound that caused me to purchase a new torque converter for this customer as well, that I now get to eat the cost of.

00 s10 with 5.3 im using the stock flywheel im matting it with the v6 transmission which spacer do I need?

The concave flexplate will not work w/o opening the torque converter holes.

Chasemanuti i have the gold plate on my 5.3 and mechanic says my converter holes are wallowed out. He says i need a new flex plate. Are you saying the wallowed holes are the way it needs to be?

The holes need to be elongated. Even the flex plate he’s advertising here won’t work. The holes are in the same place

I've got a 2005 lq4 6.0 I need to mate to a 2004 4l80e and have a TCI 399754 flexplate, are you saying a crank spacer is not needed and is built into the tci, but will I need the pilot extender sleeve in that application?

I got a 03 lq4 out of Denali and 04 4l80e with the same Flexplate tci 399754 ran into a problem where my converter bolts hit my back cover bolts of my motor I just order my crank spacer

You don't need both adapters. You only need one or the other.

I’m having issues with a 6.0 4L80 cracking 3 plates and using that silver adapter on crank side, any ideas as to what’s causing it?

@@weldingjunkie Try getting a thicker flexplate from TCI, I have ripped the center out of stock flexplates due to rapid acceleration of the heavy torque converter on the thin steel.

deceptivex1 it ended up being the i joints on double Length driveshaft making a wobble snapping the plates

Can I use that concave one on a 6.0 4L80? I’m having flex plate issues that keep breaking I’ve used the adapter like you showed but not the snout one. What are my options ?

Speedway offers several LS flexplates and if your 6.0 were to need a replacement the concave one would be an option as it came originally on the 5.3 and 6.0. You will need to make sure that the torque converter gets full engagement in the transmission pump if used.

There is a $22 spacer with free shipping sold by Michigan motorsports that works 100%. Don’t listen to these guys that tell you to buy a new flywheel or expensive spacer that you’ll have to bore holes out for.

Concave flexplate to custom 80e converter with 3 bolt pattern or flat flexplate with spacer and stock 6 bolt 80e converter setup..5.3 same as 6.0 spacing so everything will swap over.

My 2002 6.0 has a concave flexplate. Not sure about this info in the video.

6.0's from an Escalade or anything else with a 4L60e will have a dished plate.
