Always blows me away when I see such advances from the old days of CC3D & Naze32 FCs. I can't keep up. Cheers.

You mean old days of stripping multiwii controllers for there piezo sensors and building your own flight-controller?
@billsomrak6 жыл бұрын
Well, if you REALLY want to go back in time, I can tell you about my 1st RC airplane, which had tubes in the TX, a super-regen RX that ran on the 27 mhz (CB) band, and 'actuator' was powered by a wound up rubber band. I doubt that there are many who remember the days of tube RC, and wiring everything, building your own NiCD packs (if you could afford them back then), and trying to keep from being 'shot down' by some passing CB-er. In those days, I was happy to get in one flight which safely landed back on the field with my 'rudder only' aircraft. Yes, things have come a long way since then.

Thank you for the video. Love you idea as well with the Bluetooth adapter built in. Look forward to see you work more with this board and the speedy bee app. Got one on order for my next quadcopter. Thanks again.

Very cool add-on to any flight platform using a flight controller. For the price, $9.99 seems like a no brainer.

I got a feeling blue tooth adapter applications will be in all boards in the near future, it so convenient.

Really nice, Lee! I just hope they add support for Butterflight as well. 😊

You can use other BT modules for the app, I have used a cheap HM-10 BLE and works really well.

I just ordered a PCA9685 external pwm generator, with inav 2.0 rc1 I should now have 16 uniquely assignable pwm outputs from a flight controller. Can you say gps- assisted candy drop! I can't even think of the crazy ideas I can't think of yet, but I'm thinking about thinking some up.

Will you pack it in you are costing me more and more money every time I watch one of your videos lol.... Love the idea of built in Bluetooth this would come in very handy. Great review again Lee. ( forgot to download the app lol )

Sorry about that George! There’s just so much exciting tech coming out at the moment that should be making our lives a lot easier. If you want, I can let you know when something really sexy is going to be on the channel so you can miss it! :-)

I'd love to see you set up a fixed wing using the SB AIO and the BT app. I'm trying to avoid buying the Matek wing FC as this seems to be heading the right direction with INav support. Thanks for yet another awesome video!

Until the BT app support iNav then that's not going to be an easy thing to do.. Happy flying!

Did you ever come around to flying this FC ? I've been using (and very much liking) the app for a while now but not sure if I want to buy their first FC.

Just received my new speedy bee board I can't wait to get it installed, just wondering if you could answer a question, I see sbus on the wiring diagram but my current RX is a d4rII will this board be ok on a ppm setup? Or will I have to change my RX? Thanks.
@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
I've not used anything but Sbus for a while now. I've not tried it. Best of luck!

Painless360 can you recommend a compatible s-bus rx that will work with a frsky djt module, thanks.

Hello! Im having my frist quad, but i have some doubts about What AWG Wires To Use. I have 24A kiss ESC, and KISS v1 kiss controller. The ESC came without any wire. Watching some videos i saw that i need a diferent AWG wires for the ESC, some bigger one go to the PDB, and some smollers goes to the controller. Could someone please help me? I have 1300mAh battery 4s 75c 14,8V I would like to know What AWG Wires To Use in the ESC to the PDB, in the ESC to the controller and What AWG Wires To Use inside the drone, between the PDB and the controller. Thank you very much for your attention!

Please see my most recent Quadcopter building for beginners series where I talk about this. By the way, there is no need to post the same question on three different videos. I usually respond ;) best of luck!

should you not pult a current limiter (like a light bulb) in series with the power cable in case the clips touch each other?
@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
Or, you just make very sure before you connect the power that they’re secure. :)

Do you have any specific info on as you mentioned, the HC-05 not working? I have grabbed another couple HC-05's with a view to trying them with the app. I've stopped short at this stage when I noticed my target FC doesn't do soft-serial - so probably cannot do the enable/disable thing. If this proves as popular as I think it will, we'll be needing generic bluetooth access to the app, or we'll need another app! :). In fact, BF really needs to do their own app. Cheers.
@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
I suspect that because the hardware is the only way that the outfit can guarantee they’re going to make any money. They made sure that the app only works with their specific Bluetooth adapters.

@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
Don't see why not - I'd check the forums in case someone has tried it and had issues. If all else fails you can get the receiver to run as good ol' s-bus..

If i have fc's with broken usb ports, will the bluetooth adapter allow me access to them through a uart?
@Painless3606 жыл бұрын
The problem you have, is that you need to configure the port that the Bluetooth would be connected to. And to do that you can need to talk to the board..

how large of a quad will it handle?

As large as you can build. Be careful as larger quads cause problems for technology like Betaflight who is designed for smaller models..
