Old PCGS holders are called rattlers because they often rattle. In any coin shop I ask to see rattlers first Often they will regrade a full grade up when broken out OR green or gold CAC bean. 🐣
@SpegtacularАй бұрын
In my experience, trying personally, they do NOT upgrade.

I know for a fact I couldn't touch those coins for less than a thousand a piece, many you see at the best auctions MS-66 and up, you must get them wholesale. What I would really like to see is a complete CC set in high grade, not just Morgan's but all dimes to double eagles. Some mints seem special because they weren't around for long, and they had lower mintages. I have a couple of those coins but the condition is so bad it might be hard to get more than face value. Great collection!
@travdripdrip382Ай бұрын
I like to think of myself as more of a ms64 Oregon half as opposed to a ms66, I've been spending some time drinking beer and watching football as well.
@davidcorder4909Ай бұрын
I just looked up the 1921 Missouri at MS66+ $70.000!!!! Yes $70 seventy Thousand Dollars!!!!!!
@bill4572Ай бұрын
Usually the Denver mint marks have a lower mintage I remember that from my LCS guy he always said get the Denver mint marks for the half dollars I wanted to see the California julibbe that's on my bucket list
@bradleyozbun1012Ай бұрын
💯
@larrydegeorge386Ай бұрын
Speg, do you think that the flowing hair medal was a scam and all of the privy marks went to specific buyers?
@SpegtacularАй бұрын
No. Too many “random” people who have no connection with the mint received them to believe that.

It's not often that I can teach something to someone that will stick with them for their entire life. And I'm no teacher. Oregon is pronounced "Or a GUN", NOT "Ore GONE" and NOT "Or a GONE". Or a GUN. Oregon. Or a GUN. Oregon. Thank you for your time.
