For a novice here, I want to thank you so much for this series! I just bought an AR630 with AS3X and safe. Are there any updates to this series that need to use to program my new receiver?

I can't thank you enough for those very well done videos! I just received the programming cable and I'm trying to setup an AR636A receiver in a Parkzone Stinson SR10. Something is confusing me though, hopefully you can enlighten me about this. I have a Blade 200srx heli with a pre-programmed AR636H receiver. When I plug the battery I have to be careful and ensure that the heli is perfectly level to avoid gyro disorientation. When installing the AR636A in a plane with a small tail wheel like your P47, meaning that the plane isn't level on the ground but has the nose up, If the receiver is level in flight ( parallel to the wing), then it won't be level when the model is on the ground. So my question is, do I need to tilt the tail of the plane to a flight level position when I plug the battery or is it unnecessary with the AR636A once it's calibrated? I noticed that you din't lift the tail in your video.

Hello Dave, after binding all my control surfaces are backwards, where do I reverse them? on the receiver or on the radio?

Help please For some reason my ailerons (on a Y lead and selected as such on the Spectrum Programmer) works fine when I move the aileron stick but does not move at all for AS3X or SAFE functions/when I role the plane side to side. The elevator and rudder both work fine and move as they should. My gains and priority are set exactly like yours. The aileron servos even do the dance when the rx is turned on indicating that they are initialising. I cannot understand why the ailerons are not working as they should. Help would be very much apprecited.

The BNF model instructions call for the bind plug to be removed prior to binding, don't they?

Yes, if you’re using SAFE Select. For what we’re doing here, you leave it in. Good question!

Hi Rc Air Marshal, my asx3 rudder is correcting the wrong way. The surface are all correct with the sticks. How can I reverse the as3x rudder correction?

You will need to go into the Spektrum Programmer application and reverse the direction of the rudder.

I probably should have mentioned I’m using a ar8360T. Seems like the programming software isn’t compatible

Ahh, yeah this video of for the old aR636. For the 8360 if everything else is correct and the rudder is correcting the wrong way the first thing you want to try is repeating the servo settings in Forward Programming. If that doesn’t do the trick, then your receiver orientation is probably not set correctly

Hi my issue is on the model the control serfaces are reversed now it says do not make the corrections in the transmitter but when i use the app on the control surrface page you click opn the surface to change direction and nothing happens any ideas what is the issue might be

Lee Pering you have to make sure you have a good connection from the PC to the Receiver. The change should be immediate as long as you have a good connection. Double check that the receiver is connected properly. Definitely do not change the surface in the Transmitter.

I absolutely HATE AS3X. Mostly due to my lack of being able to program it. Previously I tried programming it with my iPad and had numerous problems. Watching this series, I might have to give it another try. Needless to say, I have a few AS3X receivers that I'll bring to my clubs swap meet this spring.

Jeff Jackson I Hope you have better luck this time around. In my opinion, the Android and iOS apps aren’t really that good. They do the job, but the PC App does much better, and you have more flexibility.

The RC Air Marshall unfortunately I’m a Mac guy. Zero PC’s in my house. I need to buy an in-expensive laptop.

Ahh, gotcha. There are ways to get the software running on a Mac that all involve loading windows via Boot Camp or running a Windows Virtual Machine with USB Passthrough capabilities, but those topics are a bit beyond the scope of this series. A cheap Windows Laptop would be ideal.

@@TheRCAirMarshall no please sir no apologizes .As I said your intelligent fella I'm a older man of average intelligence.These are way beyond my attention factor or understanding .I was looking to try something else But I'll stay with the pro series of gyros from motionrc .These just seem to be overly complicated.Again it's just me .thank you for your reply
