@Llewellyn407 IT may have lots of different 3 servo swashplate setting but hasn’t got a setting for 4 servo swash for my vairo helicopter as I found out to my cost. My old 35meg Futaba 8 channel set has! Will stick to Futaba in future.

Spektrum marketing team are great at loading the want factor from us customers that's for sure! We can all see it, almost taste it, we all want it ..... yet we can't get our hands on one just yet .... talk about turning our wants into 'NEEDS" ......

I picked up a 9xr, tried it out and decided it wasnt for me module based is nice but you can use almost any rf module with an adapter cable to the dx-8's trainer port also Hope the radio works out for you if you goto the heli forums you can find nice used dx-8's for about 250-300.00 in case you start looking again. Also when you can find them a 9z is module based and can be picked up for less than 200.00 alot of times and its still a really great radio. I have 4 of them

I get the "POINT" about telemetry monitoring, but I have a serious question: As an airline pilot I am used to the "Crew Concept", meaning another Human as a support. In addition to all of the usual built-in "monitoring" and instrumentation that we also must know...here's the problem: Flying an R/C model relies totally on EYESIGHT cues, (lesser on audible) as an outside "observer". More demanding than full-scale flying, in many ways. Telemetry, to be effective, would be best with FOUR eyes?

Is there a summary screen for the servo settings or do you have to scroll through every channel to see the subtrim, endpoint or norm/rev settings?

Hello, I have a Spektrum DX8. Recently the speed controller stopped working, maybe I messed up something with the adjustments. The monitor shows that the joystick is responding, but the receiver does not execute the command. One plane emits rhythmic beeps, the other buzzes three times and then is silent. I would be very grateful if you help, I hope this is not a defect, I can’t take off, but I really want to.

how is the 9x? i'm in the market for an 8+ channel radio (currently using a walkera, bleh), and this fits the bill nicely i think. its a toss up between that, the DX8 or maybe something else. i need 8 channels and a decent amount of range for my planes, and hopefully eventually use on some heli's in the future.

Another thing, I sent in my Tx for a firmware update and now after being returned the Tx won't charge anymore, it will heat up, but the charging indicator light no longer works and the batteries won't charge...

35% on hh gyro rate? i thought anything over 50% was HH. on my dx6i i have it on 60.5%. are the gyro rates different from dx6i to dx8?

dx8 is a much nicer radio than the 9x series for most people its all the radio you will ever need, I do recommend putting the lipo battery in it over the stock battery. You can get a 4000mah lipo from HK for it for less than 20.00.

The retracts on my Dynam Spitfire work intermittently. They go up fine but won't go back down until giving the ailerons a good repeated slamming to the right.. Ok, I have NO mixes in the TX, so can anyone tell me WHY it takes right aileron to make my retracts work?

Just ordered mine, SO excited. What the stupid KZbin commenters here don't understand is that if they incorporated the telemetry components into their standard receivers, they would be heavier. The telemetry receivers are thankfully separate, so that if you don't want the extra weight, you don't have to have it. It's like people are expecting extra features for no extra weight, its just not possible.

In trainer mode is it possible to assign only one channel to the student? ( the DX7 can't do that and if you fly FPV you cant use head tracking on DX7 )

OK/...now i see that the "Telemetry" is accessed later, sort of like a "LOG BOOK" of data. OK, cool. Besides that feature, the others? WAY, way, way greater than what I've seen available with the "market leader" (starts with an 'F')...and one that I am most familiar with, although mostly on the low-end of "their" product line. Hmmm....makes one ponder the possibilities, and appreciate the aspect of competition!! (I am an "old-timer", grew up on "Kraft"! But, open to learn!!)

I have a DX8 with 1.04 firmware it doesn't update to 2.01 I live in Portugal so I need to send it back to UE thats sucks!!!! And I know people that lose signal with the same radio that sucks I would not recommend it!!

shit .... way 8 channel if i can order a JR radio with 9 channel !!!????? marketing plan ? for shure it is ! I prefer a radio with opensource code so i can implement my own features ! I love my tg9x with 14 channel and my own telemetry system and zigbit amp radio. very cheap and eficient radio.
