Our oldest teen has been diagnosed with severe dysgraphia and this has been the one and only program that has been helpful to him long-term. Love it! The company says that for older kids, you should give them the assessment at the end of Level C because they may be able to skip a level. That’s exactly what happened for our oldest. He jumped from C to E.

Thank you for sharing! That's a great tip as well (the maybe skipping one). I don't think any of my kids could do that, but it's good to know!

I was just looking at this for my youngest, and I am so glad this came up today, because this really really helps!! I was thinking level C for her next year in 3rd but now I’m not too sure. She’s a good reader but of course doesn’t like writing too much, and we do a page of handwriting daily already. Wondering your thoughts, if we should start A or safe to start mid series and skip to B?

I would look at samples of A and B and just see what she could realistically write. If the B level looks like not to much for her to write and she would get most of the words right without too much studying… start there. But if B looks undoable, start on A. Starting mid series is no problem. Also, I think they have samples and a way to assess on their website.

@@CalmintheChaosHomeschool thanks so much!! I did look at the placement, but mostly went by reading level. She could probably read up to level D at 7 now but that’s too much for her writing. Lol I will look at the writing for both of those levels. She may do well to start at A.
