Spelljammer Reveal BREAKDOWN | Theories and Analysis of the trailer, books and figurines

Spelljammer confirmed! This video dives into DnD's 5e reveal of Spelljammer, including theories on an adventure called 'The Light of Xaryxis', as well as the figurines and maps associated with the 5th edition setting. I'll also be explaining some of the lore along the way.

My expectation is that the phlogiston still *exists* but that the Astral Sea essentially makes it impossible for spelljammers to reach the phlogiston, since ships seem to now end up plane shifting before they can actually get to the shell of the crystal sphere. Since the phlogiston was always the largest part of the Prime Material Plane, anything which forces a ship to plane shift would prevent it from getting there.

Hey, Harbs. Any chance you might look into the Dragon Age lore? The upcoming game has a title now, maybe 2024 release? I've only played the games but I understand there is an number of novels, comics etc. about that story and world.

The captain of the Spacejammer in the video kind of comes off as a jerk to me. After he finally finds his family/friends again, he looks down at the map on the ground and just yeets himself out into space again! How long must his family/friends been waiting for him, only for him to turn his ship and just F-off again? I know adventure is calling, but come on man! At least be somewhat considerate to those who have been waiting for you for so long. 😤 Good video Harbs. 👍

I think of it differently. I see it as he just left his family to find treasure out in the Astral Sea. He finds a map and shenanigans ensue.

@@neurolancer81 But he was heading 'back' to them, even looking at a locket with them projected from within it. They were readying to see him again, not waving him off. He saw them, was ready to go ashore, then bottle, map, yeet~! How frustrating.
