I once had the shop of my dreams in Volcana. He was selling 3 Bomb Boxes and paste. Right in front of the shop, there was one of the robots on a ledge looking right into the shop. I hopped on it, it moved in, blew up the shopkeeper while not doing enough damage to the boxes to blow them up, and I got literally everything for free. And then I proceeded to jump into lava.

My new favorite strat is to stand in front of the shopkeeper, grab an item, jump, throw it out the door, and bonk him on the head on the way down. No resources, and if you can evade him next level, I almost always use it in the 1-2 shop for a bunch of free items.

It's easier to stand in the same spot he's in and throw a rope which stuns him and then steal his gun and all the other stuff

6:00 In the jungle he did not blame the plant on you. When the plant ate him he survived inside it's mouth because of his amount of HP. You then whipped him and the plant AND HIS ITEMS. An item landed out of the shop, so as always, when you take items out of his shop without paying, he get's pissed. So the shotgun on the plant was the shopkeeper inside the mouth of the plant being pissed at you and drawing out his shotgun. If you just waited longer the plant might have worked.

you can also get a shotgun like this from tusks dice roll minigame if you put one of the poison bubble guys on the side where the lazer is. The guard will shoot it and the bullets will bounce off of the laser making the guard drop his weapon. After that you can freely take the shotgun and still enter the mansion afterwards

this situation is a bit rare but can be done on any floor if there is a freeze ray and the level exit is near you can freeze the shopkeeper and then get in the door because he only gets mad when he gets unfrozen, you can also do this no matter where the shop is in the level if you are playing multiplayer

i found that on tide pool you can use hermit crabs to make madame's body guard shoot, so i think it would be possible, also, in the temple you can use anubi's death disc (the one that targets you and then goes in a straight line) to kill the shopkeeper

In the sunken city you can use an untamed axolotl to shoot a bubble at madame‘s bodyguard and you can then proceed to steal his shotgun. It might not be a way to get free items, but you can still get a pretty easy shotgun

I've run into this type of situation. A mantrap ate the shopkeeper, then I shot the mantrap with a freeze gun and killed him and the shopkeeper died with it. This doesn't count as your fault

If you can make an enemy attack a shopkeeper, he will shoot at the enemy. If there is a gift box in front of him, he will open the box and you wil be able to take the item without paying or stealing

There's one thing you can do in the jungle, if you are lucky, you can use a wooden shield, then push them to a spike trap.

In the jungle you can set a bear trap Infront of them and it won't blame you if he walks into it

If the shop is near the exit you can freeze the shopkeep and leave before the ice melts that way they dont hunt you down

I think you may be able to kill shopkeeper with the robots, he says vandal when the 2nd bomb is about to explode, he doesnt go crazy when the robot destroyed part of the shop

The gun comes out with the shopkeeper with a shot that kills the mantrap from the inside, by stealing from a shop it actives the trigger to put the shotgun in the shopkeeper's hands and mistakenly puts the shotgun outside of the mantrap, this does not normally happen since the shotgun enters the mantrap with the shopkeeper or it's dropped, I haven't tested but regardless this only happens when doing an action to make a shopkeeper pull out a shotgun. If you think I meant that the mantrap is actually holding a gun it was meant as a joke But yes, this is a slight visual bug
