Biscuits and gravy, the breakfast version, is a bread like biscuit (similar to what you had) and a sausage gravy made with a breakfast sausage and a white gravy. What you had is more of a dinner, chicken and biscuits. So they are two different dishes.

Biscuits and gravy is for ANY TIME OF DAY/NIGHT! Breakfast gravy has sausage but typical gravy might start from bacon grease but rarely has sausage when eaten other times than Breakfast.

As an American, I can confirm that is more like an American pot pie that's disassembled. Biscuits and gravy is similar to those biscuits, but the gravy is white gravy with sausage in it. We eat it for any meal, but mostly for breakfast. It is a savory dish.

We have that yogurt place in PA, usa but it's called sweet frog lol. Yes our biscuits and gravey are with a sausage gravey and yes it's typically a breakfast food and amazing.

I dont know if you can get old fashioned lemonade in the UK..the non carbonated lemon, sugar, water kind. The easiest thing is to buy that (or make it to a US recipe) then muddle in some mint. You can blend it all, makes it a bit frothy. Youll have to tinker with the mint amount to get it right...but its the first thing I did when I returned from Dubai...we loved it that much. If youre really lucky, you can buy it in instant drink powder form...Tang make it. But I cant get it in Australia :( If you can get it in the UK please let me know and Ill have a London mate ship it down to me. But US old fashioned lemonade with mint. Sooooooooooo good. Now Im craving it. Dang it!

No, Jazz, that is NOT biscuits and gravy. Yes, our gravy has American breakfast sausage, which is different from sausage that comes in links and casings. Those biscuits looked wrong, too. On your next trip to the US, come down to South and we will show you what real biscuits and gravy is like! What they served you looks more like an attempt at chicken pot pie. Breakfast gravy doesn't have vegetables in it, just sausage. If the Cheesecake Factory served that as biscuits and gravy to anyone in the South, the laughter and bad reviews would shut the entire company down!

Chicken n biscuits is nowherar near as gross as biscuits and gravy. The biscuits in bpth arevsimular BUT chicken and biscuits is in a chicken gravy woth veggies and never sold for breakfast and biscuits abd " gravy" isnt even real gravy its a flour based sauce sometimes woth cream cheese in it that has cooked breakfast sausage in it its big here for breakfast but its also sold woth froed chicken dinners and im sprry but YUCK 🤮
